seems the govt. and IDF and Police don’t realize there is no difference between
‘terrorists’ and ‘anarchists’ just softer application
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich (Religious Zionism) on Tuesday morning responded to the violent protest held near the home of Justice Minister Yariv Levin (Likud) in Modi’in.
"A handful of violent people is willing to burn everything here," Smotrich tweeted. "These people burn tires, they burn granaries, because they have lost control of the parliament - a handful of people who live with the belief that, 'Who needs democracy if we do not control it.’"
"I have news for you: You are not the democracy, you are violent individuals. This nation is the democracy. The nation of Israel is healthy and will condemn these people from within it - and that is a good thing.”
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) also responded to the protest.
"These riots by anarchists who burn tires and block roads with barbed wire opposite the home of Yariv Levin are not acceptable," Ben Gvir said. "The freedom to protest - yes. Violence and anarchy - no.”
"It is important that the police took action and are working to arrest the anarchists, but there is no doubt that if this had been a right-wing riot dozens would have been arrested and the Attorney General would have made sure to request that they be arrested until the completion of legal proceedings against them. Unfortunately a handful of rioters is paralyzing Israel, with the backing of Attorney General Gali Baharv-Miara.”
