JUDEA AND SAMARIA in Jeopardy by E1 Failure

is this supposed to *compensate for E-1 debacle and a palestinian state?

Supreme Planning Council approves: 4,500 housing units in Judea and Samaria

Finance Minister Smotrich says Judea and Samaria residents no longer being treated as second-class citizens with new construction. Betzalel Smotrich

The agenda for the Supreme Planning Council for Judea and Samaria was published today (Sunday). The agenda includes the approval of over 4,500 housing units in various communities in Judea and Samaria.

The published plans join the nearly ten thousand units published at the previous meeting of the Supreme Planning Council. With the new plans, more housing units have been approved in the first six months of 2023 than at any other six-month period of the last decade.

The plans include the construction of 326 units in Neve Tsuf, 228 units in Givat Zeev, 258 units in Beitar Ilit, 340 units in Ma'ale Adumim, 381 units in Revava, 343 units in Elkana, 287 units in Adora, and 196 units in Telem.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said: "The construction boom in Judea and Samaria and in all parts of our country continues. As we promised, today we are advancing the construction of thousands more new units in Judea and Samaria. Judea and Samaria residents are ceasing to be second-class citizens and the natural development in settlements is being reflected in construction and expansion."

"I thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for their cooperation. I would also like to thank the staff of the Settlement Administration at the Ministry of Defense and the Planning Office for their hard and determined work. G-d willing, we will continue to develop the settlements and strengthen the Israeli hold on the territory," Smotrich said.

Govt. to greatly reduce approval time for Yesha construction

New regulations to be announced today to reduce approval process from 6 steps to 2.

The government is expected to announce a dramatic decision today (Sunday) which would greatly reduce the amount of time it takes for a construction project to move from announcement to construction in Judea and Samaria.

Under the new regulations, the approval process will be reduced to just two stages from the current six stages.

The new regulations come as the Supreme Planning Council is set to approve the construction of over 4,500 housing units in Judea and Samaria today.

Report: Under US Pressure Netanyahu Pushes Off Meeting on E1 Construction

by David Israel

As David Israel wrote:

My article explained why it’s crucial to start building in E1 – it’s located at the narrowest part of Judea and Samaria, so that if it is built up by the PA it would guarantee a future, contiguous Palestinian State, and if it becomes part of an urban sprawl between Maale Adumim and Jerusalem, it guarantees the opposite.

We don’t know yet whether Netanyahu has also pushed off the SPC meeting on housing starts in eastern Jerusalem.
