Moshe, unfortunately, this fits into the plan of rectification and judgment that comes to the world before Mashiach Ben Yosef fights the enemies of Yisrael. One way to view this is, each time the DM takes ACTION against our enemies our situation improves and the world decreases. HaShem vowed not to ruin the entire world again, but that does not rule out mini catastrophes of revenge = Nekoma!

I agree with you. It's all leading to the Geulah. Have understood when there were abnormal numbers of floods, volcano eruptions, earthquakes all over, that this is probably the way H' is meticulously cleansing the world and now we see the upheavals in many democratic governments and some positive changes made also; like the unexpected welcome victory in the U.S. elections. We pray that H' is speeding up the Geulah, but with great rachamim!
