This is the travesty of the 'new' IDF which has taken on almost all the ways of the nations and to discard Torah, c'v. BUT, will the infamous supreme court even allow righteous and normal behavior which our Torah dictates to be implemented? Of course not, because for some reason they seem to have the power to dictate everything the gov, IDF, etc. is allowed to do, not caring an iota for the wonderful Jewish boys putting their lives on the line (a kiddush H').
Anything that goes against Torah is the name of the game, r'l. This is where the families of the soldiers have some power and that is to 'unite and demand' protection for their sons, husbands, fathers and brothers. The soldiers are not in the IDF to be patsies, decoys and fodder, c'v, so the nations will be appeased. Military and war have only one goal and that is to be totally victorious.
