The Calf (Ox) was made on the 16th of Tammuz, and Aaron says “Tomorrow (future) will be a holiday.”
The Arizal said that the 17th of Tammuz and the 9th of Av will become yom tovim when Mashiach comes.. and the 21 intermediate days will be like a chol hamoed!
Balak set up 42 altars (possibly 42 = the 42 letter name of G–d)
