From a Gigantic Fire . . . to a tiny flame

all am yisrael are in mourning . . .

 we are all in shock

an unfathomable tragedy has enveloped our people

from the height of unity in joyous outpouring to the heavens

an immense whiplash of devastation unfolded

we are left, each one of us, filled with immense sadness and grief

and wondering, wondering, and searching for understanding

in our hearts
