Rebbetzen Tziporah

 (Just received)

17th day of Omer, Tiferes of Tiferes

Think of how to glorify Hashem, especially by seeking out the glory of His people. By doing this, you glorify Hashem who chose us.

Glory has broad connotations. It includes both compassion and judgment. Think about how the Creator uses both in the constant flow of bringing life to the world (with its conflicting needs). And He is also the One who sets boundaries and limitations in nature by judging what is needed, and when giving more would be destructive.  Wholeness, or in our language, perfection is the result of His ability to bring all the forces together. The invisible reality is that they are far more aware of Hashem than we are. They praise Hashem (in their own way, as you see in Perek Shirah).

When you find that something that you do is really whole, really perfect, thank Hashem for having the opportunity and the ability.

When you try to do things perfectly, you may find that you move from one area in your life that is satisfactory to another one that needs more work. That is exactly the plan! You will also discover that what felt perfect and complete yesterday may just be a stepping stone to doing the same sort of thing with more genuine wholeness today.

WITH PEOPLE

Feel compassion for others by seeing them and finding something glorious and good within them. Teach them Torah, especially Chumash in a way that will awaken their latent desire to see good and wholeness in each individual.

Examine the integrity of your dealings with other people. Try to reach a point where not only your deeds are honest, but your thoughts are also honest. When you resolve to improve things, don’t just let it stay in your mind. That isn’t honest. Find a way to keep your resolutions for self-improvement and seeing goodness in others. Similarly, if you are in a position to help others financially, always look for new ways to do whatever you presently are doing with greater wholeness and beauty.

LIMB- Use your entire body! - (I assume that this also means using body language to convey compassion and openness to other people)

18th day of the Omer, Netzach of Tiferes

When a person focuses on Hashem's glory (by his leaning Chumash where it is most clearly revealed) the inspiration it provides should open your heart to trying to serve Hashem even when it is hard.

Even if you fail, the difference between how a king would see a servant trying his best to serve him, but not succeeding the king will not see this in the way he sees a servant who isn't really making any effort to do what he was commanded to do. IN return, Hashem will help the first servant succeed in the future.

Even if you are like the first servant-the one who tries and succeeds, sometimes you will find yourself giving yourself an enormous amount of credit (as you deserve!). Imagine someone very wealthy, giving his enormous love of the king, and more significantly; his awareness of His glory should inspire him to do even better, better and with greater kavana.

When you have internalized doing Hashem's will by being compassionate, you have to sometimes overcome your intuitive desire to respond to every situation with compassion, there are times in which being firm and strict even militant are what is needed you overcome your yetzer TOV to do Hashem's will.  The same holds with learning Torah. Your desire to serve Hashem may have changed you to a really dedicated talmid chachahm, but when you have to put down the sefer to prepare for shabbos, that's what Hashem wants you to do.

BETWEEN PEOPLE

Feel compassion for people and commit to make it last (not just a momentary sigh). Try to express your compassion for others by teaching them Torah, especially Chumash.

LIMB-USE YOUR ENTIRE BODY TO WIN YOUR WARS.

TIME- SERVE THE KING ALL DAY!

TEFILLAH- BAREICH ALENU
