Rebbetzen Tziporah – DAY 34 YESOD SH’’BIHOD

DAY 34 YESOD SH’’BIHOD

This is a good day to praise Hashem by saying nishmas.  Notice that it says that Hashem is praised in the midst of “His holy ones”. This tells you that when you sanctify your body, your praise of Hashem is on a much higher plane than if you have not, as yet, reached that level. To achieve this the main thing is to see that your tongue is holy, and that you observe all of the mtizvot having to do with guarding your speech.

It is a good time to meditate on the principles of faith, especially on the fact that Hashem chose us from his entire world population to receive the torah, in preparation for which we had three days of purification. It is good to thank Hashem for giving us the possibility of living meaningful lives, and to do what we can to make our naaseh vinishma be real, by endeavoring to maintain purity. Hashem, who sees the future, chose you personally, and not only the Jewish people as a whole.

WITH PEOPLE

If you can share what you know (especially it may be worth thinking about learning or re‑learning shmirat halashon with others) you are taking the tree of torah and having it bear fruit.

When you are having a normal conversation with a friend, try to find a place where you can share an incident that you know about that is inspiring. Especially if the hero or heroine stood strong against heavy odds to do Hashem’s will.

The mitzvah of bringing peace to a couple is especially great. This will affect all their future generations. If you are in a position to do so, it is worth your time investment. Pointing out how Hashem makes peace above between fire and water even though they have the potential to destroy each other is a worthy thought.
