“As Soon As They Tried To Deter Lomdei Torah, Nations Gathered To Harm Am Yisrael”

HaGaon HaRav Shraga Shteinman, a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah and the Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas Orchos Torah, spoke on Sunday about the unprecedented Iranian attack on Israel overnight Motzei Shabbos.

While delivering a shiur on hachanah l’ Pesach in Beitar Illit, HaRav Shteinman quoted the Gemara in Chullin Daf 7 that says that no one bangs his finger below unless it was decreed for him above – everything that happens is announced from Shamayim.

Comments:

The Rabbi stated a plain and logical interpretation of the Torah that, truthfully, doesn’t take a gadol to realize; just a lack of Zionist idolatry. That same Torah also obviously forbids Jews enlisting in the IDF. Always has and always will.

When Hashem told Avrohom he wants to destroy S’dom and it’s 4 neighbor’s because of their wickedness, Avrohom asked Hashem if He would save them in the merit of the righteous, and Hashem agreed he would. From that we see that the merit of the righteous can save an entire city of Reshaim. It’s the Torah that makes that connection!

Given the additional shmad and rebellion against G-d by the Zionists as mentioned by the Rabbis, it is far more likely that the rabbi is right than your proposal.
