Trump “did not start a war, but stopped a war.”
In his nine-minute speech, Trump said that no Americans were harmed during the Iranian missile attack on US military bases on Wednesday morning. “We suffered no casualties, all of our soldiers are safe, and only minimal damage was sustained at our military bases.” The president added that thanks to the precautions taken, no American or Iraqi lives were lost. “I salute the incredible skill and courage of America’s men and women in uniform.” He added that while US forces are prepared for any scenario, “Iran appears to be standing down, which is a good thing for all parties concerned and a very good thing for the world.”
