Some Interesting Quotes About President Trump’s Announcement

דפִּי יְדַבֵּ֣ר חָכְמ֑וֹת וְהָג֖וּת לִבִּ֣י תְבוּנֽוֹת:
My mouth shall speak wisdoms and the thoughts of my heart are understanding.
Tehillim 49:3

“Sometimes, even the obvious has to be said”

Arye Deri
“If I forget you, Jerusalem, my right hand shall be forgotten,” Interior Minister and Shas chairman Arye Deri tweeted, quoting Psalms. “God bless America and its president.”

Yariv Levin
Tourism Minister Yariv Levin said Israel doesn’t need anyone to authorize what is written in the Torah, but the diplomatic meaning of Trump’s declaration “fixes a historic injustice and puts the truth in front of the nations of the whole world.”

Meir Porush
Deputy Education Minister Meir Porush (United Torah Judaism) said “Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel will cost us dearly, and he will hurt us with his diplomatic plan. Better that we build in parts of Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem that need housing, than a declaration that means nothing.”

Yisrael Eichler
Similarly, MK Yisrael Eichler, also of UTJ, said that he would “rather have 1,000 homes for young couples in Jerusalem than one American embassy building. I hope that the declaration will not cost us in the blood of terrorist attacks, God forbid, and that it will not strengthen our enemies.”

Moshe Kahlon
Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon pointed out that “for 3,000 years our forefathers dreamed of Jerusalem, prayed for Jerusalem and faced Jerusalem – from Iraq, Libya, Russia, Poland – the entire Diaspora prayed toward Jerusalem.” “Sometimes, even the obvious has to be said,”

Odeh
“Trump threw a match at the Middle East, and the two peoples will pay the price.”

There is a tradition that Israel's enemies will only succumb to a descendant of Joseph. Thus, Mashiach ben Yosef will be the one who will lead Israel to victory in the war of Gog and Magog. This is the meaning of the verse,

"The house of Jacob will be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau stubble. They will set them ablaze, and consume them; there will be no survivor of the house of Esau, for God has spoken" (Ovadiah 1:18). AISH

We are seeing this demonstrated right now in Southern California. This is happening to them because of the ultimate plan Trump has in store for the Jews of Eretz Yisrael.

This speech is just the opening of negotiations and we are already on the losing end of it.

I hope to address this in more depth next week before Hanukah, God willing.

Thank you Devash. I tend to see this as a hint to the end war, set into motion by Trump’s favoring Israel and Yerushalayim; which is, as you believe, a maneuver we are yet to see.

Turkey has called a collection of arab nations to a conference of this. And I wonder what will be the definitive response from Saudia Arabia (I’m sure MbS agrees with this step in the process by Jared). We may yet see the Arabs/Muslims fighting each other.
