Syrian Provinces? Prophecy?

sounds like a prophecy in the making

Report: Israel considering dividing Syria into provinces

One of the plans for guaranteeing the security of each ethnic group in Syria involves dividing the country into smaller, self-governing provinces.  (pre-Sykes/Pico)

SOME HISTORY

The Sykes-Picot Agreement created the modern Middle East. It represents one of the first instalments in a long line of modern European – and subsequent American – meddling in the region. And, in providing a set of unrealistic and impossible promises to the Arabs, it led directly to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. [...]

Secret Treaties and Broken Promises: The Sykes-Picot Agreement

To understand the Arab-Israeli conflict, it’s important to consider the various broken promises that the British made to Arabs and Jews as they tried to secure allies in the Middle East during World War I. These agreements set the stage for the “broken promises” that contributed to conflicts, especially between Jews and Arabs [...]

The Secret Agreement to Partition the Ottoman Empire

What the British failed to mention to both the Jews and the Arabs of the region was the secret deal they made with France on May 9, 1916 – known as the “Sykes-Picot Agreement.” British representative Mark Sykes and French representative Francois George-Picot drafted the agreement, in which Britain and France planned to carve up Greater Syria and exercise political control through spheres of influence, once the war was over. They planned to create an Arab state, agreeing that Britain and France would have influence over it. Other areas would be under British and French direct control. [...]

Another Factor
The status of minorities, including Druze, Christians and Alawites, in Julani’s Syria is one of the most pressing questions after the fall of Assad. Syria’s approximately 700,000 Druze make up about 3% of the nation’s population, with most living in the southeastern province of Suwayda, where they are a majority of the population, or around the capital Damascus. [...]

WHILE I SEE CONNECTIONS AND POSSIBILITIES, AND HAVE A MORE GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE,
I AM NOT AN HISTORIAN. SO IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO ADD THEIR IDEAS HERE, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW. BUT WE ARE DEFINITELY IN A PERIOD OF RESHAPING THE M.E. [and righting a wrong]

In the end, it won't matter who gets what & what the partitions will be. Moshiach will be the one to make sure that every inch which belongs according to H's divisions to be the borders. The borders are already spelled out in our Torah and it is only Hashem's Promise that matters.

Emet, couldn't this be what you are saying BUT IN REAL TIME. HASHEM works in our world so it seems 'naturally occurring'. If this does occur, it will be just what you said...... and our witnessing it.
