“Womens Lobby” at it Again

’Women's Lobby' petitions against holding dedicated men's event

arutzsheva  The group that has taken upon itself the designation "the Women's Lobby" petitioned the Administrative Court against the Haifa Municipality demanding that no special city-sponsored event be held as a male-only event.

This is vicious. These women just hate to see Haredi men enjoy some music on their vacation. There are “equal rights” for everyone except Haredim!

THE DRAMA CONTINUES

Haifa District Court Judge, Ron Shapira, who accepted the petition of the women’s lobby against the performance of Motty Steinmetz and Mordechai Ben David that is supposed to take place in Haifa next week, ruled that a special hearing will be held about the issue of segregated seating at the concert. The hearing is scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

The women’s lobby petitioned the court for an injunction against the concert after it was determined that the concert would be for men only. As is widely known, the Chareidi community does not often attend concerts with mixed seating and these particular performers, Steinmetz more than MBD, refuse to perform in front of a mixed crowd.

WAITING TIL SUNDAY: The courts across Israel go on summer vacation starting on Sunday afternoon. Thus, the court has two working days left to give a decision regarding the petition. [and if a negative opinion is handed down, there will be no way to appeal before the concert] YWN
