Secrets of the Damascus Gate revealed
Wednesday, April 2
Did you know that the most beautiful of Jerusalem's gates has amazing secrets just below it?
The ornate, massive Roman Gate of Jerusalem ( "Aelia Capitolina" ) built after the Bar Kochba rebellion, has now been excavated.
Major budgets and years of meticulous excavations and study have finally prepared the site for the public.
Other guides and I were invited for a preview of what awaits the visitor.
As a result, I am eager to share this jewel of a site with you.
Together with the special archaeological-historical experience, we will have yet another unique opportunity on this day.
Aryeh King, deputy mayor of Jerusalem and founder of the Israel Land Fund, will be our host for an eye-opening tour.
We will visit Jewish properties that were stolen by Arabs in their 1948.

We will show our love and support for these heroes.

From there, we will take the train or walk together to meet Aryeh King. After our tour with him, we will take the train or walk to the Damascus Gate.
