So much ink is spilled debating and intellectualizing these questions, and the Internet is filled with endless hours of talking heads giving their “expert opinions”. The Torah waits patiently for us to consult its wisdom and learn the truth the easy way, without filling our heads with nonsense, making costly mistakes, and wasting much of our lives.

Someone just informed me that the Erev Rav OU organization issued a statement in support of the Erev Rav Israeli surrender deal with Hamas. I would never have seen their statement otherwise, because the OU is irrelevant to me, and I don't know why anyone even cares what they say anymore.
But I couldn't help myself, and took a look at their statement. I didn't bother to read the whole thing, since it's all just the usual mix of highfalutin platitudes and corporate focus group jargon, but I was struck by two things:
1) There was no depth or actual Torah content, despite the Torah's position on lopsided hostage deals such as these being crystal clear, supported by plenty of historical precedent. This omission is not coincidental, since the Torah's position is squarely against the OU's.
2 ) This: “We support the Israeli government in its painful decision, taken with the knowledge that the October 7th massacre was planned and executed by Yahya Sinwar, yemach shemo vezichro, a beast who was freed from an Israeli jail in a previous prisoner swap.”
Yet they support this one! Ha!
The OU might have been a worthy organization decades ago, but today they are a bunch of Erev Rav grifters who lead decent Jews astray. They say nothing of consequence and represent no one, but they sure rake it in from all directions, and always have their hands out to the public for more. I don't think I've ever seen so many Donate buttons on a single page.
I hold the OU responsible for prostituting itself to Amalek, pushing the death shots, shilling for the globalist agenda, and much more. As far as I'm concerned, the OU is as kosher as Klaus Schwab's hindquarters. They can stuff their statements.
