Aside from the costume, nothing seems "haredi" about this guy.  Since when do haredim have Facebook accounts with thousands of friends and followers, attend The Open University, and have photographers in tow to take pictures of them for IDF propaganda?

I got a kick out of this line: "I am aware of the possibility that during the basic training I will feel that I am not mentally or physically capable of the role of a combat soldier, and should that be the case, I will devote all my activities in the brigade on the spiritual and emotional level, with the help of God."

I wouldn't take 10,000 to 1 odds he sees combat, let alone gets sent into a booby-trapped building.  They take care of their own.
