Not from US though given how compromised the now current O'Biden admin is, what are the chances they would look to manufacturer a war between a US-aligned Arab state and Iran (a la Yalkut Shimoni) as another way to prevent Trump assuming office?

There are other ways it could unfold which would achieve the same outcome.
Admittingly the following is my limited conjecture though think of the potential catalyst as a sort of latter day composite of Pearl Harbour-meets-Invasion of Poland/Barbarossa-meets-Francis Ferdinand-meets-1st Gulf War, one where events draw in much of the world and from our limited perspective seeming cascade out of control, all for the purpose of Hashem providing the opening for Moshiach (depending on if he is MBY or MBD) to openly appear and finally fulfil his function.
OTOH it is possible Israel/Jewish people would not be involved despite feeling threatened (unless events allow Israel to no longer be beholden to the US/UN/etc), yet depending on how events transpire the world would likely nonetheless seek to assign blame in the aftermath as they have done throughout history.
I do believe that the umbilical cord has to sever; however, with DJT in office we should see some pivotal issues resolve. Maybe after that. Of course according to the blueprint of Hashem.
Yes that is feasible. However, just saw that the US threatened IRAQ NOT to allow Persia to fire from their territory -- Israel would respond!! So, they would look the other way if IRAQ ...... and then propell Israel into another way. Wow, what a sneaky maneuver (smile)
