I've noticed that the state of Israel is more globalist than other countries, r'l!
There are two different issues. There is a law from 1983 that requires showing your ID to the police/military on request. Punishment for failure to do so is a 5000nis fine, unless you take it to said person within five days. The other issue, is inappropriate use of force. Any force used, has to be proportional to the situation, and the law has to be applied equally, not targeting certain populations. Many European countries also require carrying and showing ID on request. I think not being required to do so is more of an anglo country thing.
Unbelievable! Are these police who seem to be so callous really Jews? NO, don not believe so. If ever we need to pray for Moshiach, it's now more than ever!

Secondly, this is no ordinary election, as it can change the country that was for 243 years a democratic republic and the freest in the world to turn into a dictatorship, c'v. In the meantime there are 5 millions or so Jews and that makes it a great danger to the Jews and even for the righteous citizens. Good must prevail over evil. We pray that Moshiach will appear soon, in a blink of an eye.
