@ I'm a foreigner living in China. In the time of the covid, we lived that kind of quarantine for almost three years... Many dreadful things happen. I remember, a grand-father wanted to bring his grand-son to the hospital because he was greatly sick. The guardians at the gate of the isolated buildings refused to let them go because of the quarantine. The boy died a few days later at their apartment... You have no idea the horrible things happened here…
@ Believe it or not lots if not millions of people would love to live that way. Getting everything free, not working, while sitting inside all day streaming their favorite shows all day. But what they don't know is they'll end up like this guy and eventually lose their mind.
@ I'd like to share a true fact I consider film worthy in and of itself. I have a good friend for over 10 years, he owns a small firm and I've been around offering little bits of support early on. When the great flu season of the 2020's started, we like many were divided on the subject, with him fully embracing the official narrative and me being the pesky conspiracy theorist. I was never mad at him despite his support for even lockdowns and vaccine mandates... he wasn't that mad at me for my opposition either, that is until yesterday: I woke up to being kicked out of the company's online groups without explanation. I asked him what was up... before he blocked me on his personal account too, he said recent posts on my personal page in an art gallery proved I've learned nothing and am still an anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist who needs a hard lesson. Since I no longer discuss such matters on the site in cause due to the crazy speech restrictions there, I was curious what I'd have said that offended him so badly; The only clearly relevant thing was me boosting and congratulating this film a few weeks ago. So yes: A decade old friend ultimately turned on me and officially kicked me out of his small firm... because I liked this animation. Obviously I don't regret sharing it, his behavior was inexplicable while simultaneously not shocking given everything I've seen in recent years. I care for him regardless which won't change; I don't expect him to ever change his opinions on what happened in the world, but at least hope his reaction toward me and the way he handled it he's lucid about and will someday decide to speak with me again. Just wanted to share this as a poetic reminder. When the main character gets into an argument with his girlfriend and they break up, that especially is most real. Except even he drove her out because he showed her the book... sometimes friends or relatives will turn on you for seeing something you said elsewhere, be it years after you post it in some situations.
@ I used to think this could NEVER happen in America! We have the 2nd amendment, and a freedom loving strong willed citizenry! Sadly, few of the freedom loving patriots are paying attention, or willing to stand up! We have been subdued through fear and distraction!
