Rabbi Michoel Green: ANALYSIS Part X

Part X: Zionism and its Collectivist Collaborators

Institutional Betrayal of Jewish Communities

Please note: in the following essay, I focus primarily on the Chabad movement when citing examples of institutional collaboration with state tyranny. That's not because I believe Chabad is more infiltrated and/or compromised than any other organization or denomination. Rather, it's because I'm a lifelong disciple of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, and have worked in Chabad institutions for over thirty years. As such, I experienced this phenomenon firsthand and feel obliged to expose it. My writing should not be misconstrued as an attack on Chabad [1], any other Jewish movement or chassidic court. Likewise concerning my critique of Satmar and Neturei Karta in Part IX, it's not my intention to malign individual members of these groups but rather to protest their failed leadership. I write out of dire concern for all the rank-and-file Jews of these movements, and particularly my own, Chabad, who have been woefully betrayed and beguiled by their rabbinic authorities, administrators, and lay leaders.

As explained above [2], Zionism is authoritarian statism with a quasi-Jewish veneer.

How did Zionism succeed in co-opting the Jewish population where other statist attempts to target Jews, such as Bundism, the Bolshevik Yevsektsiya and Stalin’s Republic of Birobidzhan, failed?

The latter examples were communist. Although Zionism also began as a largely socialist enterprise, it quickly changed gears to give the impression of free market.

Jews wouldn't be roped in by a paradigm in which the state owns all. A different form of statism was necessary.

Communism and Fascism are two faces of the same beast. All forms of modern statism were propounded by the same ruling class. Hence the Soviet Union's complicated historic relationship with the “Jewish State” [3]. It's all theatrical.

Similar to American statism, the Zionist regime effectively wields control over its population by means of corporatism and institutionalism.

Corporatism means corporate collaboration with state tyranny.

Consider the disturbing trends from March 2020 till present. When governors couldn't enforce unconstitutional mandates, Walmart, Starbucks, United Airline, et al, did their dirty work. That’s Fascism at work.

Indeed, nearly all draconian covid policies were imposed by the "private" sector. Apostrophes are used since those monopolized corporations are owned and controlled by the same super-wealthy predator class that controls the "public" sector, modern states and all its tentacles.

Institutionalism is the term I use in reference to the shocking phenomenon we've seen unfold in recent years in which entire religious orders fall in line at the government's slightest whim. In 2019, for example, when the states of New York and California eliminated religious exemption to vaccine mandate despotism, nary of word of protest was heard from religious groups. Even worse, when the covid vaccine was imposed shortly thereafter in 2020, religious exemptions were often rejected by state or corporate employers and universities if the person identified as belonging to any organized religion whose official spokespeople endorsed the vaccine. And alas, nearly all religious orders did publicly endorse the vaccine in lockstep with government.

Nearly all Chabad centers and schools worldwide enforced covid tyranny as institutional Chabad policy. When students and employees were being coerced to undergo the experimental covid vaccine, many Jews desperately turned to their local Chabad rabbi for assistance in endorsing their religious exemptions. Lamentably, most Chabad rabbis refused to assist in any way, citing "official policy," i.e. the policy dictated by leading Chabad institutions or rabbinic authorities not to oppose the state's "public health" policy [4].

Same with regards to nearly every other orthodox Jewish movement, such as Young Israel, Orthodox Union, etc. "Modern Orthodoxy" is even worse. They all suffer from the illness of institutionalism.

I call this sorrowful state of affairs the institutionalization of Jewish life in the postmodern era.

Alas, most contemporary Jews are incapable of thinking for themselves. They simply follow the herd, whichever particular denominational collective they belong to.

The United States exploits orthodox institutionalism as do all other states with significant Jewish populations, but the "Jewish" state has perfected it to a science. In Israel, members of the rabbinate are paid state employees who answer directly to government.

Sadly, most leading Chabad rabbis in Israel are rabbanim mitaam, state-salaried members of the rabbanut. It came as no surprise that these same rabbis issued rulings endorsing state policy concerning the experimental Pfizer vaccine and unprecedented medical apartheid. So-called Rabbonei Anash even issued edicts banning unvaccinated individuals from shul [5]. Shomu shomayim [6]. And now, after clear evidence of the cataclysmic death toll from these vile bioweapons, no apology has been issued from any of these rabbis.

Even worse, Chabad communities in the Holy Land and abroad continue to recognize these state yes-men as rabbinic authorities. It's truly shocking.

Institutionalism has compromised the Jewish world for years. Child sex abuse has been covered up by school administrators and community rabbis for years. The rationale was always the same. It was deemed necessary to suppress awareness of the abuse in order to protect the institution. The thinking was that one child's victimization could be overlooked so that the supposedly indispensable institution may continue educating children. The alleged need of the collective outweighed the essential human rights of an individual child. This is the devastating effect institutionalism has wrought on organized religion, Judaism in particular.

The atrocity of institutionalized CSA has reared its ugly head in Jewish institutions of every denomination. Yeshivish, Dati Leumi, Sephardic, Chabad, Gur, Satmar, Breslev, Modern Orthodox, etc. etc. No community has been spared.

Other societal ills have been allowed to fester, largely ignored and often exacerbated by an indifferent rabbinate whose loyalties lie with their community's major institutions instead of the actual community members. These include igun (get refusal), parental alienation, mental illness and poverty perpetuated by widespread dependency on welfare state, not to mention another host of societal problems.

Educational institutions no longer teach the individual child but rather service the collective. Children's creativity and individualism are suppressed for the sake of maintaining status quo. Any child with unique learning styles are conveniently diagnosed "learning-disabled" and medicated, thereby accessing lucrative state subsidies. More children are falling through the cracks, neglected by this monolithic system and lost to marginalization and attrition than ever before in Jewish history. Whoever dares expose these abuses is cancelled and dismissed as a trouble maker.

Chabad has suffered from institutionalism in a particularly egregious way. Nepotism, corruption, factionalism, and divisive politics have plagued Chabad communities for the past thirty years, although the PR people at "Corporate Chabad" go to great lengths to suppress public awareness of its pervasive dysfunction.

And when the government came along with covid policies and vaccine mandates, institutionalism continued to work its magic for humanity's self-declared masters.

Chabad yeshivas and seminaries did the Zionist state's dirty work in enforcing vaccine mandates. As mentioned, rabanim mitaam shut down the synagogues and study halls, imposed lockdowns, and banned unmasked and unvaxxed from shul. Chabad's own social networks marginalized the non-compliant and silenced dissent. Government didn't need to lift a finger.

In the Untied States, it was the same deal, a sad reality I experienced firsthand. After vocally opposing mandates and organizing an event in Crown Heights to educate the public about the risks of the experimental covid vaccine [5], Chabad's major outreach organization Merkos L'inyonei Chinuch attempted to silence me. When I ignored their attempts at censorship, Merkos publicly maligned me as a "public health risk" and revoked my status as a shliach (Chabad representative). Moreover, they removed my synagogue, Chabad of Westborough, Massachusetts, from their roster of officially recognized Chabad centers. [7]

My brother [8] and I vocally opposed exclusionary school mandates and covid policies [9] but were vilified by the Crown Heights community for "disrespecting" their rabbinate and institutional Chabad policy.

In orthodox communities, certain physicians gained prominence and claimed to be the local medical authorities (to the exclusion of all other medical experts). Rabbis and administrators propped up these self-declared authorities and accorded them untouchable status. In Crown Heights, this individual was — and still is — Dr. Eli Rosen. When these doctors demanded full vaccine compliance, no dissent was tolerated. Crown Heights locals were aghast when I so much as questioned Dr. Rosen's competence and independence with regard to vaccine safety and toxicology. One of that community's chief rabbis railed against me and publicly forbade any medical opinion that differed with their local "medical authority.”

It's absurdly anachronistic that such medieval dogma even exists in NYC in 2024, but alas, so it is. To date, none of these vax-pushing rabbis or doctors took any responsibility for the untold numbers of lifelong injuries and deaths resulting from this vaccine or any other.

When the aforementioned doctor was confronted about a child who died from a vaccine, he replied to the bereaved mother: "Your child took one for the team." This means that the individual is sacrificed for the "greater good" of the community, the rationale behind collectivism and institutionalism, a secularist value that's utterly foreign to Torah [10].

In recent years, "corporate Chabad" has been sadly compromised by ongoing complicity with globalism [11] in general and Zionism in particular.

Colel Chabad boasts of its joint projects with the Zionist State and multinational corporations [12]. Chabad emissaries pose obsequiously for photo ops with Bibi [13], and Lubavitch Youth Organization has endorsed Bibi's campaign in past elections [14].

In truth, official Chabad policy does not recognize Zionism or its pseudo-messianic claims. The singing of "Hatikva" or "the beginning of the sprouting of our redemption" are not allowed in Chabad circles, nor is Israeli Independence Day observed, in deference to the Rebbe's position on these matters, which we shall discuss in Part XII [15]. However, this is a well-kept secret. In the realm of public perception, it's another matter entirely.

Most Chabad supporters are completely unaware that the movement is diametrically opposed to the creed of Zionism. Paradoxically, in recent decades Chabad organizationally has begun to recognize the Israeli government's legitimacy. We now find Chabad representatives rallying behind Bibi and his government notwithstanding its grave betrayal on October 7th, 2023, as well as before and after it.

In another disturbing trend, more and more Chabad youth are enlisting to serve in the IDF in recent years. This, despite overwhelming evidence in recent years that the government recklessly sacrifices the lives of its military personnel like cheap political fodder.

Despite the Rebbe's opposition to Zionism, modern-day Chabad is woefully indistinguishable from other religious groups who have capitulated to Zionism.

The very fact that state-employed rabbis are regarded as reliable rabbinic authorities and "unbiased" decisors of Jewish law is truly shocking and inconsistent with authentic halacha. Rabbanei Anash, like the Israeli Rabbanut, is compromised and should be ignored when it rules on any topic that pertains to state policy, or perhaps on any topic altogether.

Even more laughable is the recently self-proclaimed Sanhedrin [16], a self-styled "high rabbinic court" that consists of presently or formerly state-employed personalities. Woe to the Jews who have deluded themselves into embracing state yes-men as rabbinic authorities of any capacity, let alone judges of the Great Sanhedrin.

Tragically, rank-and-file orthodox families have been cluelessly co-opted into complicity with state due to the fact that their communities, economics, and education system have been institutionalized beyond recognition. All walk in lockstep with government, whether they realize it or not.

As mentioned above, the vast majority of US and Israeli rabbis declined to save a fellow Jew's life or livelihood by writing a letter endorsing his or her religious exemption to a lethal bioweapon. When Chabad emissaries similarly refused, they cited organizational Chabad policy.

When Jewish women were turned away from Chabad mikvahs in 2020 due to draconian covid policy, "institutional Chabad policy" was likewise cited.

When a yeshiva administrator banned my unvaccinated child from yeshiva in 2019 due to Orwellian NY State edict mentioned above, I demanded to know how an institution that bears the holy name Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch could cooperate with such halachically-unjust tyranny. (Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch, the flagship yeshiva led by the previous Rebbe Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, is the only yeshiva in the USSR that continued to operate underground in defiance of Soviet dictatorship).

This grave assault on Jewish children is particularly egregious as it violates a sacrosanct tenet of Jewish Law that unconditionally guarantees every child an education. Halacha solemnly requires each Jewish community to provide Torah teachers for every single local child without exception. Failure to do so for even one child is an offense guilty of excommunication or worse. Our sages declared that the world's very existence is dependent on the chanting of tinokoth shel beith rabban, young students attending their Torah class.

So I challenged this prominent administrator, how dare he ban a healthy child from Talmud Torah, a grave desecration of everything holy?

He responded that he's just following institutional policy by heeding their rabbinic authority [17] who explicitly instructed the community's school administrators to ban all unvaccinated children from Talmud Torah.

"Just following organizational policy" is the same as "just following orders."

Institutionalism is another iteration of Fascism. It has served its statist masters well, to the great peril of humanity.

There's an old expression, "The fish rots from its head."

Zionism puts the entire Israeli population in its chokehold by subverting the heads of their institutions. The more the Jewish world is institutionalized, the more the noose tightens.

The Hebrew word for "institution" is מוסד (mosad) [18]. This word shares the same letters as סדום, Sodom.

Institutionalized Judaism is burning down like the city of Sodom. Not only did it burn down, the Biblical city was literally turned upside down [19]. This means that the very foundations (יסוד) of the city had become irredeemably corrupt. Healthy earth from below needed to be exhumed to replace it.

So too in our time. The institutions (מוסדות) of our time need to be turned upside down. The common folk must oust the corrupt leaders and their hierarchy.

The first step to liberating ourselves from the clutches of statism is by creating new paradigms for Jewish communities independent from subverted institutions.

[3] I refer here to Stalin's bizarre and brief 180-degree shift from Anti-Zionism to Zionism when the USSR and its Communist bloc unexpectedly cast their decisive votes in favor of the "Jewish State" in the partition plan of 1947. Theories abound in attempt to explain this historic enigma, but in truth, it's quite simple. Communists were never actually at odds with Zionists. They were tentacles of the same ruling class. The same was evident with regards to alleged archenemies Stalin and Hitler in the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact or Treaty of Non-Aggression in 1939.

[4] I can personally attest to this travesty as a whistleblower from within the Chabad movements. Moreover, I know of many of these cases firsthand, since many thousands of these stunned congregants ultimately came to me seeking help.
