WE HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF YEARS IN GOLUS
TO END UP IN EREV RAV ISRAEL BENDING TO A DIFFERENT SLAVERY:
OF THE MIND
OF THE MIND
Gashmias is overwhelming, we have almost every invention and personal pleasure that we can think of and can buy them while sitting at home
We have all the food delicacies one could imagine
We have more time available to us,
To go on vacations, sit and ‘search’, gaze at the Mediterranean, indulge in sports
Money galore, homes in magnificent architectural Towers for 'merely' millions of shekels, corralling us into stone, cement, and glass....
all for modern day straw!
WITH AN UNRELENTING ENEMY
DEDICATED TO ELIMINATING US
but what about our ruchnias?
we are still the children of Hashem
did we forget our “naasei v’nishma”?
are we blinded by the kindness of Hashem?
we need to call out again from under this oppression

This particularly stood out:
"are we blinded by the kindness of Hashem?"
It's very similar to the Tanach idea of "Yeshurun got fat and kicked."
As the smoke filled my block, I thought about what I would pack Chaz v'shalom if I had to vacate as some had. It's a scary feeling to think you might hafta start all over. If I did have to, I would minimize to very little for the next stage. I'm waiting for the trip , the 40 days in desert with Moshiach, what's that source??

Leah, are you in NJ? Is that what you mean?
About Mashiach, there is a prophecy somewhere; I remember reading about it, I think on Reb Dov's site. However, don't think I'm able to walk that far anymore. I used to walk to the Kotel, as we live not far, but cannot do it anymore bc of neck/back injury. Don't fret! Maybe starting over gives one another chance to do it differently and better with all the experience behind one????
We cannot despair because we are at the end time where we will have to just hold on tight to our Emunah in Hashem and Bitachon in His being there for us.
Emunah and Bitachon, no matter what else is going on in the world, even though it's easier said than done, but it must be done because our lives depend on it. We pray that every Jew and righteous person will be saved
because of Hashem's Great Rachamim.
The Erev Rav will be gone and everything will changed to the good.
Evil is temporary, but 'good' is eternal!
