HAPPENING NOW: In a video statement, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari announced that the IDF recently identified Hezbollah preparing to launch missiles and rockets toward Israeli territory.

"In an act of self-defense, the IDF is currently striking terror targets in Lebanon from where Hezbollah planned to attack Israeli civilians," Hagari stated. He warned that Hezbollah will likely fire rockets, missiles, and possibly UAVs toward Israel, and noted that the Home Front Command would soon update defensive guidelines for those in Israel.

Hagari emphasized that Hezbollah is staging its attack from areas near the homes of Lebanese civilians in southern Lebanon, putting them in grave danger. He urged civilians in these areas to evacuate immediately for their safety.

He further warned that Hezbollah’s continued aggression threatens to escalate the conflict, endangering both Lebanese and Israeli civilians, as well as the broader region. "Israel will not tolerate Hezbollah’s attacks on our people," Hagari declared. He added that Israel is prepared to defend itself against Hezbollah and any other adversary that joins in the attacks, stating, "We are ready to do whatever it takes to protect the people of Israel."


The entire IDF high command is in the Kirya's underground command center tonight, with the Chief of Staff personally and directly overseeing the strikes.

Air Force patrols, guided by intelligence, are responsible for the warnings and identification of Hezbollah's launch intentions.

Dozens of fighter jets have struck in southern Lebanon in the past hour and continue to carry out attacks.

Non-stop: Over 200 rockets were fired at northern Israel in the last few minutes.
