COMMENTERS:
I don't think they understand the seriousness of this issue. We need an investigation that EVERYONE can have faith in. The left, the right and the center. And we have to stop with this "attacking the chief of staff" line. If the chief of staff can't handle inquiries and questions from the political echelon, then perhaps he should find a new job.
We still haven't investigated the enormous crimes against humanity committed during COVID ,and the state never will. HaLevi should be the one investigated, not the one doing the investigating. Citizen trials now!
The chief of staff was literally asleep on the job when this disaster happened. He failed his country miserably. He needs to be demoted to private and fired without a pension.
Clear cover-up. Akin to highly subprime Justice system ruling on issues they have a conflict of interest on, and subverting the Govt. and its duly passed law rather than following it.
Why not hold a parallel investigation, led by those who believe in democracy and the Knesset? On the surface of the matter, I do not know who the father of the disengagement is. I suppose we can assume that he will be loyal to the foreign influences in the Israeli government. Is there move to falsely accuse Ben Gavir of security failures, regardless of being shut out of the security decision making process? It is not totally clear to me what is being done. I dont see how they can close the investigation, we can always open another one. Not that I need one, or most Israelis, we know they stood down, we know they are not in the pro Israel camp. Yes I will keep an open mind, but that can be done with overwhelming confidence of knowing what has happened, and what side they are on, the leftist american one. Why now during war? I doubt the red sea drop in standard of living can be bared by the west. So they are going for one last push. The question to me, is could this have been avoided, or was it inevitable. Either way, In G-d I trust. In G-d I trust.
Don't let them appoint leftists to investigate the leftists who allowed this to happen as a protest against judicial reform
It's called white wash. You really think they're going to accept the blame for what they caused?
They (Gallant, et al) haven't learned anything, NOTHING. G-D help us (and HE will have to, no one else will....) Ben-Gvir and company BETTER soon be in control of affairs, on all issues and fronts, or we are in for a lot more of, what could have been, avoidable pain. I am surprised (pleasantly) that BiBi actually stood up for them....that is VERY important, don't kid yourself. No, I am not a fan of his, considering him a talker, not doer, and usually a coward but, somehow, he has 9 lives and this comment is to his credit, like him or not. Maybe there is a change, maybe (stretch, I know...) it's not political anymore with him but, rather, seeing the light. B"H, it should be. Shabbat Shalom y’all.
My opinion This is like Criminals investigating their own crime. sounds like a Coverup. Why isn’t Prime Minister Netanyahu involved in this decision? This is why I started criticizing the traitors responsible for October 7th because I was afraid it would be covered up for 50 years. I saw this happen with the Yom Kippur War with secrets coming out recently and it’s happening again. Again who is running the Government where is Prime Minister Netanyahu.
"...before senior officials in the defense establishment walked out of the meeting.” HaLevi should be fired and prosecuted for insubordination immediately. Who does he think he answers to? "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu eventually dispersed the discussion and told the Chief of Staff: "Sometimes you have to listen to the ministers. The meeting is over.”" ...Sometimes...? The army is subordinate to the elected gov't. What we are seeing here is the results of Bibi allowing a coup d'etat back in March last year.
Not precisely a coup, rather an extra-governmental exercise of power by the military, protected by Netanyahu and consolidated by him. We read last week how he protected Toledano from Strok. He protected Halevi from her previously. He persists in doing so today.
And TOI is reporting about the same meeting with the headline that certain unamed ministers don't think this panel is fit to make decisions about the war or army. I'm fully convinced at this point that TOI is just a propaganda tool for the Biden government and it's Kaplan group henchmen. Every item is carefully curated to convey a very specific agenda. Israeli's allowed these fringe leftists to attach to a swiftly sinking US ship. The future is anybody's guess at this point.
In a democracy, the military is beholden to the government and by extension to the people. The IDF chiefs along with the Israeli courts are both acting like a unelected shadow governments which wield way too much unearned power!

Every Jew wherever should be asking these questions. When will the world finally understand that all democratic western countries have been pulled in to this nwo, one world gvt. The leftists have literally taken over the world (i.e, Amaleik & Erev Rav Amnaleikim). They are
all on it. Anyone who reads, thinks and still does not understand what has been going for the last number of years is fast asleep - it's right in your face. An Investigation is imperative and a stop has to be made to all the b'gidah going on. This all reminds one of a '4th reich', chas v'chalilah. We know everything is from Shamayim and leading us to Geulah but it is imperative that we do our hishtadlut to right the evil wrong and thus H' will hasten the Geulah b'Rachamim!
