Interesting. But, I have heard and read a # of times that the children of Ketura went to the Far East and that the Indian people there stem from Avraham & Ketura. We will have all the answers when Moshiach is here. May it be immediately!
Also, in regard to the children of Ketura, Rabbi Winston points out that it seems the Turkish people might stem from them, but the Turkish people as well as the Greeks, we are told, stem from Yefet, not descendants of Shem.
In regards to why the children of Ketura are considered half brothers. First, it might be because Avraham Avinu sent them away with gifts (including idolatry) and he was just considered the one who sired them. That is why H' tells him more than once that Yitzchak is his ONLY son!
Whereas, Yishmael was circumcized and lived under the teachings (somewhat) of Avraham Avinu.
Also, Hagar (whom they say is also Keturah & maybe that's the reason for the change of name)
was chosen by Sarah Imeinu to be sort of the surrogate for her, only because she thought that she was too old to give birth and thought this way Avraham would have heirs.
The children of Keturah are a separate issue.
