Do we know yet how this affects us in Israel?
It's interesting (to say the least) that they're doing this during our Shmitta year, when G-d forbids us to plant and take care of agriculture.
Hashem had it all figured out. Yes in a Shmittah year bc it will show the world that while they do everything to stop people from eating food, Eretz Yisrael will be grow abundance and I believe that many in other counries will want Israel to share their produce with them = the people. The govts don’t want. It will be interesting to watch how this plays out. See my post on LEKET.
