HAMAS: "Sorry we didn’t mean to hit Tel Aviv"

IDF estimates: Terrorists didn't intend to target Tel Aviv

Is there some kind of “agreement” not to hit TA but only military targets?
Is this a game that the IDF allows Hamas to play?
"nevertheless, we will do our part and bomb empty buildings"
cat and mouse exercise?

IDF emphasizes: Hamas responsible for preventing rocket attacks, targets hit by IDF are all military.

The IDF on Friday morning estimated that Thursday night's rocket attacks on Tel Aviv were an error. However, the IDF did not change its response, pointing an accusing finger at Hamas and destroying 100 terror targets.

"The IDF sees Hamas as responsible for everything which occurs within Gaza and which emanates from it," an IDF statement said.

"The Israeli violence will not break our opposing nation's will and its fight," Hamas said in a statement. "The opposition, together with its nation, will remain at the heart of the fight against the occupation.” arutzsheva

Report by TimesofIsrael:

Remains of rocket fired from Gaza found in Tel Aviv suburb
Police sappers called after debris discovered in Holon; additional Iron Dome batteries reportedly deployed throughout country.

Education Minister Naftali Bennett, who heads the New Right party, blasted the Israeli response as “pathetic.”

“I have to tell the truth, I cannot imagine that after a mistake attack on Moscow, Putin would have explained to the Russians that the enemy ‘did it by mistake,'” [. . .] “They laugh at us. It’s not being taken seriously,” said Bennett, who unsuccessfully lobbied for the defense portfolio after Avigdor Liberman’s resignation in November to protest a ceasefire with Hamas. timesofisrael

Bennett: “It doesn’t matter who is behind the attack this evening, Hamas is responsible.” He criticized Israel’s current strategy of launching reprisal raids at Hamas infrastructure while striving to avoid any human casualties. “The time has come to defeat Hamas once and for all. No more shooting at dunes without hitting the enemy, but a relentless pursuit and systematic wiping out of Hamas leaders.” timesofisrael

The People Speak:

No enemy casualties. The pilots bombastic prattle is irrelevant. I retired from the US DoD M.A.P's years back as a Senior-Fellow Engineer, we remember well our aircraft designs. We made them to destroy enemies, not empty sheds. boulders or fences.

100 sites attacked. 0 casualties!

Has hamas been eliminated or have they surrendered? If not the mission failed.

In battle, the measure for success is the enemy body count. Especially when that mission is costing the taxpayer million of dollars or a billion NIS.

This is war and in war you inflict casualties on the enemy. The pilots must be frustrated over their having their hands tied behind their backs instead of being able to do their jobs.

Bless these beautiful jews. But excoriate their leaders who waste ammo on empty buildings and bunkers
