Yesterday Fayyad Lays First Brick for New UN Joint Program Funded by Japan in Jericho Date : (March 10, 2011) Fayyad praised the United Nations organizations’ efforts and support. He also thanked Japan for their outstanding support which helps our people to strengthen their steadfastness on their land, as well as contributes to the PA’s efforts in building its Institutions which enables them to provide better services to residents and helps us to establish our independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Japan Donates 32.5 mln USD for PNA Projects (March 3, 2011) "The agreement is so vital, strategic and important to help the PNA finalize building the institutions of the future Palestinian state," Fayyad said after he signed the agreement. He noted that since 1993 Japan had aided the PNA with more than 1 billion dollars, including 40 million dollars in developing the Jordan Valley area in the West Bank
