NOTICE FROM CHILDREN’S HEALTH DEFENSE ABOUT A SPECIAL WEBINAR
Last week we reported that a new lawsuit was filed by a family of a pastor from Louisiana, claiming that his fatal glioblastoma brain tumor was caused by his cell phone use.
This case is not the first - there are currently over 70 cell phone brain tumor cases in the US Courts. There is ample evidence that cell phones cause brain tumors and that the telecommunications industry has misled the public to believe that cell phones are safe. Nevertheless, by using delay tactics, the telecommunications industry has kept these cases in court without getting to a jury trial, some for 20 years. However, an expert report from a retired CDC department director, a scheduled evidentiary hearing, and the new lawsuit, maybe game-changers and push the litigation forward.
With all these developments, we thought that it would be important to offer a webinar to explain this complex litigation and clarify the legal issues involved.
When: The webinar, Cell Phone Brain Tumor Litigation in the U.S.: Legislation, Barriers & Opportunities, will be held on Wednesday, 4/28 at 2 pm ET / 11 am PT.
Participants: Please join attorneys Hunter Lundy of Lundy, Lundy, Soileau & South, one of the leading personal injury lawyers in the US, who has been at the forefront of this litigation, and Dafna Tachover, CHD’s 5G and Wireless Harms Project Director, in their discussion of the cell phone brain tumor litigation.
Issues: In the webinar, we will discuss the history of the litigation, tactics used by the telecommunications industry to delay these cases from going to trial; legislation and key legal issues such as preemption that have affected the litigation; the upcoming evidentiary hearing in July 2021, that will decide whether or not these cases will move forward to a jury trial; the opportunities presented by the new case that was filed in federal court by Mr. Lundy and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and why it may help to finally expose what is likely one of the biggest frauds that have ever been perpetrated on the public.
Recommended reading before the webinar: Please consider reading the article we published in The Defender last week: Family Sues Telecom Giants, Alleging They Hid Risks of Cell Phone Radiation That Caused Man’s Brain Cancer. The article provides an overview of the litigation and recent developments and will help you follow the discussion in the webinar.
