From what I've read and understand is that the Covenant of the Ark is hidden away with the other holy vessels, etc. of the 1st Beit HaMikdash somewhere in the tunnels or hidden places beneath the Beit HaMikdash. It is not in any other country! When Moshiach will be here is when we will know everything.
