Latest UPDATE Report:

Police investigating the serious car accident this morning on Route 443 northwest of Jerusalem found that the accident apparently transpired following another smaller accident nearby.

Two women were killed in the accident and another 41 people were injured.

Investigations indicate that prior to the fatal accident, another accident took place between two vehicles in the lane heading from Beit Horon to Modi’in.

A passenger van in the opposite lane, heading toward Jerusalem, then perceived the accident and stopped on the left side of the lane, with the intent of providing aid at the scene of the accident.

At this point, a bus following the van hit the van and flipped over on its side, skidding into a ditch and hitting the safety rail. arutzsheva

Are these accidents or terrorism? If they are mostly accidents, there should be classes, lessons and warnings all over the place (billboards, TV, radio, etc.) about the erratic driving. Some bus drivers are known for their wild driving and they should be fired when any episode of a wild driver is known. How can they be bus drivers when they hold the lives of so many innocents in their hands. H' have mercy!
We need to pray for the victims and that this craziness stops.

This was an accident (a car that stopped to help a car accident) that created another accident (the bus) which one could suspect that it was going too fast to avoid the two stopped cars in the other lane. Terribly tragic. I have ridden on Bus 304 to Modiin Illit and know first hand that the drivers can and do go too fast on an open road. Why he didn’t see the stopped cars, I do not know. There is a lot of open roads along that route. (maybe he was on the phone?)

Neshama: It would really be sad if he was on the phone. Aren't there classes for those who want to become bus drivers? What I understand is that if any of these bus drivers do anything that is against the rules, such as driving too fast, wildly or talking on the phone and even rude behavior towards his passengers, he must be fired and put on record that he cannot be a 'bus' driver. This position should only be held in the hands of responsible people. We understand that everything is in the Hands of H', so to speak, but there is such a thing as the driver's responsibility. May we all see the time when 'man' needs never to fear again, except for the fear of Heaven. May we see the coming of Moshiach in a blink of an eye!
