More Miracles ...

This has not been verified, but nevertheless ...

Look what I found on
http://www.thecooljew.net/2009/02/why-are-you-not-dancing.html

Why are you [we] not dancing?

Apparently Rabbi Holtzberg h.y.d. , the shliach in Mumbai India, came to his uncle in a dream and told him why aren't you dancing in the streets?   Since all the signs of Moshiach are here, you should be dancing in the streets!!!

And this came from:

"this is what i heard from a friend.
time to start dancing! not so easy to dance when everyone's sleeping huh?"

More Miracles from HKB"H

Hodu LASHEM Ki Tov Ki LeOlam Chasdo

In the latest issue of BEIS MOSHIACH, several pages are dedicated to some of the MIRACLES from the Gaza War, under the heading, "Cast Lead Miracles."

“The miracles keep happening. On Sunday, a miracle took place that had the entire city talking about it. An acquaintance of mine hides in the safest spot in her house whenever there is a Code Red. That day she was tired, lying in bed, and she didn’t hear the siren. The missile hit her house precisely in the spot where she would hide. The house was demolished. It was a frightening sight. The only area which was not affected was the room she was in.”

HASHEM HKB"H does not discriminate when saving his children.

THE KIBBUTZNIKIM CLAIM MIRACLES (too!)
Miracles aren’t happening only in settlements in the south or on the battlefield, but in the Shefeila valley too. On Day 11 of the war, the terrorists shot a Grad missile which exploded near a house in Gedera. Magen Dovid Edom reported that Shir Inbar, a three month old baby, was lightly wounded and some people were treated for shock.

“The Kadron family bore the brunt of the attack when their dog was killed by shrapnel while it was outside in the yard. Shir, a 12 year old girl, was saved. She was in a ground floor room when she heard the siren and she ran to the shelter. The room she had been in a moment earlier was completely demolished.

A BOOK OF MIRACLES
After eight years of Kassam rockets being shot at Sderot, a book called Tzeva Adom (Code Red) was published which tells some of the stories of the families who were hit by rockets and documents the many miracles that people in the area have experienced. The author of the book, Netanel Serusi, did not focus on the pain, fear and anger but chose to collect fifty stories of families who were miraculously saved.

Chesed From One Home to Another

From BRAZIL to AFULA

This week Rabbi Chezky Rosenberg, one of the teachers from the Chabad cheder in Sao Paulo, Brazil, traveled with his son to Eretz Yisroel, and visited little Moishi at his grandparents' home in Afula.

He presented Moishi with all the gifts from the cheder children in Brazil, and reported to Shturem that to see Moishi happy was worth everything.

A Political Fable*

THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES
by Hans Christian Anderson

Many years ago, there was an Emperor, who was so excessively fond of new clothes, that he spent all his money in dress. He did not trouble himself in the least about his soldiers; nor did he care to go either to the theatre or the chase, except for the opportunities then afforded him for displaying his new clothes. He had a different suit for each hour of the day; and as of any other king or emperor, one is accustomed to say, "he is sitting in council," it was always said of him, "The Emperor is sitting in his wardrobe."

Time passed merrily in the large town which was his capital; strangers arrived every day at the court. One day, two rogues, calling themselves weavers, made their appearance. They gave out that they knew how to weave stuffs of the most beautiful colors and elaborate patterns, the clothes manufactured from which should have the wonderful property of remaining invisible to everyone who was unfit for the office he held, or who was extraordinarily simple in character.

"These must, indeed, be splendid clothes!" thought the Emperor. "Had I such a suit, I might at once find out what men in my realms are unfit for their office, and also be able to distinguish the wise from the foolish! This stuff must be woven for me immediately." And he caused large sums of money to be given to both the weavers in order that they might begin their work directly.

So the two pretended weavers set up two looms, and affected to work very busily, though in reality they did nothing at all. They asked for the most delicate silk and the purest gold thread; put both into their own knapsacks; and then continued their pretended work at the empty looms until late at night.

"I should like to know how the weavers are getting on with my cloth," said the Emperor to himself, after some little time had elapsed; he was, however, rather embarrassed, when he remembered that a simpleton, or one unfit for his office, would be unable to see the manufacture. To be sure, he thought he had nothing to risk in his own person; but yet, he would prefer sending somebody else, to bring him intelligence about the weavers, and their work, before he troubled himself in the affair. All the people throughout the city had heard of the wonderful property the cloth was to possess; and all were anxious to learn how wise, or how ignorant, their neighbors might prove to be.

"I will send my faithful old minister to the weavers," said the Emperor at last, after some deliberation, "he will be best able to see how the cloth looks; for he is a man of sense, and no one can be more suitable for his office than be is."

So the faithful old minister went into the hall, where the knaves were working with all their might, at their empty looms. "What can be the meaning of this?" thought the old man, opening his eyes very wide. "I cannot discover the least bit of thread on the looms." However, he did not express his thoughts aloud.

The impostors requested him very courteously to be so good as to come nearer their looms; and then asked him whether the design pleased him, and whether the colors were not very beautiful; at the same time pointing to the empty frames. The poor old minister looked and looked, he could not discover anything on the looms, for a very good reason, viz: there was nothing there. "What!" thought he again. "Is it possible that I am a simpleton? I have never thought so myself; and no one must know it now if I am so. Can it be, that I am unfit for my office? No, that must not be said either. I will never confess that I could not see the stuff."
"Well, Sir Minister!" said one of the knaves, still pretending to work. "You do not say whether the stuff pleases you."

"Oh, it is excellent!" replied the old minister, looking at the loom through his spectacles. "This pattern, and the colors, yes, I will tell the Emperor without delay, how very beautiful I think them."

"We shall be much obliged to you," said the impostors, and then they named the different colors and described the pattern of the pretended stuff. The old minister listened attentively to their words, in order that he might repeat them to the Emperor; and then the knaves asked for more silk and gold, saying that it was necessary to complete what they had begun. However, they put all that was given them into their knapsacks; and continued to work with as much apparent diligence as before at their empty looms.

The Emperor now sent another officer of his court to see how the men were getting on, and to ascertain whether the cloth would soon be ready. It was just the same with this gentleman as with the minister; he surveyed the looms on all sides, but could see nothing at all but the empty frames.

"Does not the stuff appear as beautiful to you, as it did to my lord the minister?" asked the impostors of the Emperor's second ambassador; at the same time making the same gestures as before, and talking of the design and colors which were not there.

"I certainly am not stupid!" thought the messenger. "It must be, that I am not fit for my good, profitable office! That is very odd; however, no one shall know anything about it." And accordingly he praised the stuff he could not see, and declared that he was delighted with both colors and patterns. "Indeed, please your Imperial Majesty," said he to his sovereign when he returned, "the cloth which the weavers are preparing is extraordinarily magnificent."

The whole city was talking of the splendid cloth which the Emperor had ordered to be woven at his own expense.

And now the Emperor himself wished to see the costly manufacture, while it was still in the loom. Accompanied by a select number of officers of the court, among whom were the two honest men who had already admired the cloth, he went to the crafty impostors, who, as soon as they were aware of the Emperor's approach, went on working more diligently than ever; although they still did not pass a single thread through the looms.

"Is not the work absolutely magnificent?" said the two officers of the crown, already mentioned. "If your Majesty will only be pleased to look at it! What a splendid design! What glorious colors!" and at the same time they pointed to the empty frames; for they imagined that everyone else could see this exquisite piece of workmanship.

"How is this?" said the Emperor to himself. "I can see nothing! This is indeed a terrible affair! Am I a simpleton, or am I unfit to be an Emperor? That would be the worst thing that could happen--Oh! the cloth is charming," said he, aloud. "It has my complete approbation." And he smiled most graciously, and looked closely at the empty looms; for on no account would he say that he could not see what two of the officers of his court had praised so much. All his retinue now strained their eyes, hoping to discover something on the looms, but they could see no more than the others; nevertheless, they all exclaimed, "Oh, how beautiful!" and advised his majesty to have some new clothes made from this splendid material, for the approaching procession. "Magnificent! Charming! Excellent!" resounded on all sides; and everyone was uncommonly gay. The Emperor shared in the general satisfaction; and presented the impostors with the riband of an order of knighthood, to be worn in their button-holes, and the title of "Gentlemen Weavers."

The rogues sat up the whole of the night before the day on which the procession was to take place, and had sixteen lights burning, so that everyone might see how anxious they were to finish the Emperor's new suit. They pretended to roll the cloth off the looms; cut the air with their scissors; and sewed with needles without any thread in them. "See!" cried they, at last. "The Emperor's new clothes are ready!"

And now the Emperor, with all the grandees of his court, came to the weavers; and the rogues raised their arms, as if in the act of holding something up, saying, "Here are your Majesty's trousers! Here is the scarf! Here is the mantle! The whole suit is as light as a cobweb; one might fancy one has nothing at all on, when dressed in it; that, however, is the great virtue of this delicate cloth."

"Yes indeed!" said all the courtiers, although not one of them could see anything of this exquisite manufacture. "If your Imperial Majesty will be graciously pleased to take off your clothes, we will fit on the new suit, in front of the looking glass."

The Emperor was accordingly undressed, and the rogues pretended to array him in his new suit; the Emperor turning round, from side to side, before the looking glass."How splendid his Majesty looks in his new clothes, and how well they fit!" everyone cried out. "What a design! What colors! These are indeed royal robes!"

"The canopy which is to be borne over your Majesty, in the procession, is waiting," announced the chief master of the ceremonies."I am quite ready," answered the Emperor. "Do my new clothes fit well?" asked he, turning himself round again before the looking glass, in order that he might appear to be examining his handsome suit.

The lords of the bedchamber, who were to carry his Majesty's train felt about on the ground, as if they were lifting up the ends of the mantle; and pretended to be carrying something; for they would by no means betray anything like simplicity, or unfitness for their office.

So now the Emperor walked under his high canopy in the midst of the procession, through the streets of his capital; and all the people standing by, and those at the windows, cried out, "Oh! How beautiful are our Emperor's new clothes! What a magnificent train there is to the mantle; and how gracefully the scarf hangs!" in short, no one would allow that he could not see these much-admired clothes; because, in doing so, he would have declared himself either a simpleton or unfit for his office. Certainly, none of the Emperor's various suits, had ever made so great an impression, as these invisible ones.

"But the Emperor has nothing at all on!" said a little child.

"Listen to the voice of innocence!" exclaimed his father; and what the child had said was whispered from one to another.

"But he has nothing at all on!" at last cried out all the people. The Emperor was vexed, for he knew that the people were right; but he thought the procession must go on now! And the lords of the bedchamber took greater pains than ever, to appear holding up a train, although, in reality, there was no train to hold.

Our Little Moishele

Lyrics:
Bisyata Dishmaya
I’m writing a letter to you
Sweet little Moishe’le
You were the only one to survive
In India in Mumbai
On that terrifying day
Sweet little Moishe’le
I’m so glad you’re alive

We have lost so many throughout the years
Yidish blit shed with tears
And from all we can remember
there aren’t many like him
To see tatty and mommy and look at them
איך שנהרגו על קידוש השם
But you little Moishe saw so clearly the yad eloikim

משל'ה קשה לי מאד לכתוב לך מכתב
איך להרגיע עכשיו ילד בלי אם ואב

Tribute

Lubavitch vocalist Chaim Fogelman has recorded a song in tribute to Chabad Shluchim worldwide. [collive.com]

"Dear Shluchim"

Shloshim at Har HaZeisim of Kedoshim Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg A"H

At the Shloshim of our dear Kedoshim:

"Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg spoke very emotionally about the great and unprecedented Kiddush Hashem that they made, in life and death.

"You are surely demanding the Rebbe's hisgalus and the Geulah, on High, 'b'poel mamosh'. We don't want any more tragic events to inspire us, we only want to be inspired through simcha." [shturem.org]

Be steadfast in your Emuna!
We all should finally greet Moshiach and share in the Simcha!

THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW

6,500 ROCKET ATTACKS
A father taking cover with his son as a rocket hits Sderot
[pic credit vosizneias.com]

"...THE ISRAELI AIR FORCE HAS SUCCESSFULLY KILLED HAMAS COMBATANTS 75% RIGHT ON TARGET. That's got to be the most accurate bombing in world history!"

"KNOCKING ON THE ROOF"
Just to give people an idea of how the Israeli Air Force works, they use a method called "knocking on the roof". There are several steps ...
  • The AF calls the house about to be hit that they are to bomb it.
  • Residents send all women and children to the roof hoping the AF won't strike civilians.
  • The AF has developed a small missile that creates a small non-lethal explosion without shrapnel to scare off the civilians.
  • When they leave the area, only then the building is really hit full force.

NOW
THE WORLD
NEEDS
TO KNOW THIS!

Unfortunately, I think the world knows this,
but finds it difficult to abandon its ages old ideology.
How sad!

"SOMETHING IMPORTANT IS TAKING PLACE IN SHAMAYIM NOW."

I read something just today that helps me to see a little light in this dark tunnel we have just entered.

Divrei Hisorerus* by Harav Moshe Wolfson Shlit"a

"Something important is taking place in Shamayim now.
Although we do not know what it is -- we are not neviim,
but we are bnei neviim.

"The Arizal said that before every historic period for
Klal Yisrael can arrive, a korban of a great tzaddik
is required to initiate that era.

"The Arizal notes that before the Mishkan could be
sanctified, Nadav and Avihu had to pass away....

"The Gemara says about the Jewish people that
'if they are not neviim, they are bnei neviim.'
Bnei neviim signifies a level lower than actual prophecy,
in which only the neshama 'sees' the nevuah,
but the person himself does not ... However,
although a Jew does not know that he is receiving a nevuah,
he has a deep-seated feeling that something historic
is taking place in Shamayim.
The natural state of a Jew is to be turned in
to these nevuos -- even though he does not actually realize it.

"The tremendous outpouring of interest and concern displayed by the Jewish community worldwide to the events of the past week is a testament to this."

So, my dear yidden, we are bnei neviim, and we do sense
something big about to happen. Baruch Hashem for His Wonders.

* 6 Kislev 5769 Hamodia

To President Peres

Please allow me the following. I took offense to a Haaretz online news article that quoted you as saying:

"Peres: Settlers who attack IDF soldiers are attacking all of Israel ... IDF declares Hebron "house of contention"...."

In the wake of the Mumbai massacre, it seems ludicrous to say that ONLY attacking the soldiers is attacking all of Israel. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear and a brain to think will realize that attacking ANY SECTOR OF ISRAEL's POPULATION is attacking ALL OF AM YISRAEL!

ALL ISRAELIS are segments of ONE WHOLE.
We all stood at Sinai together as ONE.
You were there, and I was there, and so were all the citizens of Hebron.

It especially bothers me because at a time when our enemies do not discriminate between who davens where, and who wears what, ALL JEWS are their victims, and some in their particular mindset are fostering distance between Jews in the midst of such a sad and tearful time.

A very blatant lesson for all of us to learn and take to heart is that this war against the Jews has changed and I would say has accelerated. The enemy is creeping out of its Pakistani caves and is stepping up its modus operandi, which is not more openly the blatant expression of EVIL vs GOOD.

Rav Moshe Wolfson Shlita, Mashgiach of Mesivta Torah VoDaas and Rav of Beis Medrash Emunas Yisroel (in Brooklyn) addressed the topic of the terror in Mumbai. In part, he said:

"The Arizal said that before every historic period for Klal Yisrael can arrive, a korban of a great tzaddik is required to initiate that era." [an article on his Divrei Hisorerus appeared in the 6 Kislev edition of Hamodia. I highly recommend getting a copy of this edition and reading it's entirety.]

(Forgive me the comparison, but) The atrocities the Mumbai animals* visited upon the Holtzbergs and the other Kedoshim is not even reminiscent of the Nazis. (the *animals were on drugs to spur them on)

Don't you see it; can't you see the reality?

The derech that the Government is on is so distorted that it announces to the world that its members are blinded to the Jewish reality. They should be standing up for ALL ISRAELIS, to allow them to live anywhere on the Holy Land of Eretz HaKodesh. You should know that it's a Biblical yerusha to Am Yisrael, and the terrorists are the modern-day amalekites that wish only to destroy cv's all Good in the world. It is as clear as the light of day.

Once they get hold of Yehuda and Shomron, they will next direct their violence to the remaining Land that Israelis live on. That too is blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes to see.

The world will not love Israel for its present approach. Anyone who believes this is (excuse me) deranged/ blinded to reality. It never was, is not now, and NEVER will be such a thing as capitulation being the moral choice. This approach is a dead-end trail.

What in the World are we going to do?

We need to be a little rational about this, but the simanim (hints, signs) are increasing and unceasing in scope.

What would you do if the American economy went bankrupt?
Do you realize what that would mean?
Do you think the IMF* would be able to bail us out?
Or could we just keep on going in a very limited way, like other countries
who have defaulted on their loans, limping with a crippled economy?

Think about it, and then send in your comments.

OH, JUST STUFF IT!

Don't you feel it?

The world is getting so crowded, crowded by too much STUFF, too much clothing being made by 100's of people sitting in a hot-stuffy room somewhere overseas, too much clothing being sold that there needs to be sales every week just to get rid of the STUFF.

And then there's the food chain, just so much STUFF for all the 'right' people, but some countries just don't get it. Hashem provides food for the whole world but some leaders just don't get it. Here too, we have fast food, ethnic food, organic food, food practically on every corner, but still some don't have???  They give us incentives to buy the STUFF, like coops, farmer's markets, buying clubs, I mean who wants to buy retail-made-in-the-usa anymore? But the poor people have to beg and steal to get their hands on more STUFF.

But wait, some stuff-buyers have all that STUFF d.e.l.i.v.e.r.e.d. to their homes! By whom?By all those new-people who came here just to get their hands on some STUFF too! But when they see what WE buy, their envy, jealousy, are aroused because they want more of this STUFF too!  And if they can't get it, they come in the middle of the morning, day, or nite, and barge into your home to steal YOUR STUFF so it can become THEIR STUFF!

Now, doesn't that make your head swirl!

Yes, we are inundated with STUFF. Why even email started out simply, well, just simple, to help you keep in touch and do some shopping for all that STUFF. But nothing stays the same, and before you can get that finger on the mouse again, the email/internet (shhh!) programs get STUFFED with all those extras, like
Chat,
labels,
twitter,
translate,
pay-up-pal,
i-Video,
iChat,
You-Tube,
MP3's and 4's,
basic HTML,

And what about all that ENHANCED mail that
talks,
wears wallpaper,
displays pictures,
changes colors
& fonts
and even has its own stationary.

Yes, we are inundated with STUFF, till it's coming out of our ears.

Why even the Earth is becoming crowded with STUFF. Why the other day a multi-million dollar cargo liner STUFFED with that precious arabic liquid gold was pulled off-course by some pirate STUFF-HUNTERS. Boy did they make it BIG with that STUFF. So you sea, even the oceans are full of STUFF–HUNTERS.

I guess they didn't hear about
Macy's One.Day.All.The.STUFF.You.Can.Buy.Sales?

So, if you decide to give-up on email and just rely on the good-old telephone, boy have you a big surprise waiting for you. There are so many phones to choose from you need to hire a STUFF CONSULTANT to assess your needs and daily lifestyle, your yearly salary, and just how quickly you can keep up with the varying ring-tones, let alone remember who's ring belongs to who! Not to mention the bill-collectors -- they need a VERY SPECIAL ring-tone indeed -- then there are the
color phones,
color backspashes,
color keys,
and then wireless,
internet portals....
Portals? What are these?
They are the holes in the back of your NEW phone to plug in more STUFF!

I mean, what family would be without a phone, email, computer, fax, photo printer, garbage compactor ...... yes, this is actually the MOST important item for our NEW lifestsysles,
because it squeezes all that STUFF into the size of a postage stamp
and then
you
can
MAIL IT to OBLIVION

PS I'm so sorry:
if I forgot some of the STUFF filling your life; you can always send me your list and I'll include it in a revised copy!
