RARE PHOTOS Jerusalem 1917 – 1918

Women and men exit from Bab al-Asbat, one of Jerusalem's historic gates, more than a century ago, 1917-1918 [the Lions's Gate]

I imagine this the Damascus Gate of the Arabs, but the pile of stones to the right perhaps cover the caves of our buried sages.

Notice at one spot (48) a man all in white; speculation about who that is?? Also later on the right side a British soldier? can be seen.

Damascus, Syria 1919

Rare footage documents the reception of Prince Faisal in Zahle and Doumar in 1919, amidst cheering crowds of residents and Arab horsemen. The procession is also shown crossing Wadi Barada, arriving in Damascus on both sides of the road. Faisal sits under an elegant umbrella among British and French officers. The declaration of the Syrian Arab Kingdom and the coronation of Prince Faisal bin Hussein as its king.

Thank you. It still doesn't look like it to me. No Lions up opposite the entrance. I was once there. Did you find anything to comment on in the other photos in other videos? I'm curious. What about the Temple Area?
