I'm not sure what you mean. There is a thousand times more Torah learning and observance today than in the early years of the state.

I agree that the  secular leadership hoped to eradicate Torah from public life from the beginning, and a soldier in the army had to have strong emunah to survive. 

Today, it is far better and easier for a frum soldier, as they comprise a far larger percentage (and are growing) of the men and officers. They are the future of the army, which scares the secular immensely.

There are Hesder and Hashmonaim frameworks as well.

 so all the rhetoric about army enlistment is worthless. It's like forcing a chareidi to enlist in any army in Europe or elsewhere in the world.

Really? Maybe suggest it is like enlisting in the Czar's army while you are at it?

I don't know if you have met any of the tens of thousands of tzadikim, Torah Jews serving their people and land. Far too many are now on the ground, killed,kiddush Hashem, or in hospitals.

Don't you feel just a little uncomfortable if not, Charota, comparing them to gotim in a foreign army?

Maybe that is why Dovid chose only the best Torah scholars for his elite troops?

 Besides which so many young holy lives have been lost and so many injuries for what? The war has been conducted exactly the opposite of the way it should be according to Jewish law. The soldiers have become, r'l, cannon fodder, no less. This mitzvah war from the start should have been won in a few days, saving the lives of thousands of our people. The leftist Erev Rav who run the country would just love to destroy Torah Jews in EY.

I agree with you.

It has been criminal.

With Hshem's help, we will have a truly Jewish army leadership.

The old anti-Torah elites are on their way out, as are the civilian ones. They are fighting their last desperate battles for power against the Torah world 

We need all the Torah help we can get to make it happen sooner. That is why the charidim must share the burden

 NOTE i was also searching for conversation from last couple days on the snake problem but they didn’t show correctly. It took a while with various searching to find them. The new email formatting is designed to push them thru aldorhythems so not readily available and only days later if ever. The same for incoming msgs. They appear then sometim3 later “notices” pop onto the screen saying they’re being downloaded. Quite obviously showing they were diverted.
