“the daughters of Tzelafchad”
These were tzidkaniot. How did they grow up to be such?
They had a mother, but we don’t know who she was, or how long she lived, in order to instill the Torah in them. OR maybe it was their father who raised them with Torah?
This shines a light on their father. Such a man who maybe raised these girls in Torah and they became tzniot! They deserved to have their names included more than once in th3 Chumash. And they loved Eretz Yisrael!
So how bad was this father?
Was he really a “dugmah”, an example to the rest of the Israelites NOT TO TRANSGRESS THE HOLY TORAH that Moshe Rabbeinu was teaching them??
