Identifying Kohanim at the Kotel: Preparing for the Third Temple

Very Interesting:

As crowds pushed to receive the Priestly Blessing on Passover at the Western Wall, security personnel tried to identify priests, a task that will take on even more significance when the Third Temple is built.

As Josh Wander did explain that the mere “name check” for recognising Kohanim isn’t foolproof, as many men with last names that might identify them as kohanim, could in fact not really be so.

The guards were checking for lineage (pedigree) indicators that they are from a long line of actual Kohanim.

Moadim L'Simcha! Interesting that I once read, I think, in the Jewish Press a number of years ago, that most Ashkenazi kohanim today are just about 40% whereas with the Sephardim, it's about 70% that are true Kohanim. Have no idea how accurate that is, but there was an article written about it.

The interviewer was trying to show how maybe things have changed and that a Kohen can marry a convert and still perform his services.
The world is sinking where Torah is being watered down to a level, where it can disappear, c'v. That will never happen, even though people think they have authority which is not theirs ever because it is G=D's Torah for His people, Yisrael! We are now in the times of complete chutzpah, heresy and where truth has literally disappeared; the silver lining is these are all signs of the imminent (very soon) redemption, the Geulah Shleimah!
Good to hear the response by the fine reporter, Mr. Wander, who gave a correct reply.
