Chabad Interview with Dr Zelenko

As the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has struck the world, and continues to hit many communities, including the Frum communities, one of the doctors fighting this pandemic is Dr. Zeev Zelenko, a Lubavitcher and highly sought-after doctor who practices in Kiryas Yoel.

Dr. Zelenko has been using a combination of different medical drugs to combat the virus, and claims to see tremendous results.

ChabadInfo.com reporter Sholem Traurig held an interview with Dr. Zelenko, to discuss some of his recent developments and contacts with many government officials.

Thank you so much for taking the time to join me today, I know how busy you are on a regular day, and especially now with the current situation.

Regarding this combination of different medical drugs to combat the virus, how did you conclude that this would be the appropriate method to treat the virus and bring it under control?

I read studies in the Far East that found Hydroxychloroquine effective in fighting the virus and studies in France that found that this drug combined with azithromycin work in combating the virus. I decided to combine these two with zinc sulfate and so far, I have treated hundreds of patients and did not have to send a single patient to the hospital.

This method is starting to be used in ICUs but I would like to implement it in the stage before the hospital, because hospitals right now are running out of space and we don’t have enough respirators. My goal is to save people from having to go to the hospital in the first place.

How were you able to share this vital message with the health authorities?

On Motzei Shabbos, I released a video for the White House letting them know about this. The next day, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows contacted me and praised this combination, saying that the White House is interested in learning more about it.

The Health Ministry of Israel also contacted me and is planning to make an announcement about this in the near future.

Do your colleagues agree that this is an effective treating method for the virus?
No, no one agrees regarding this treatment method due to the side effects.

What are the side effects?
It can mess with the heart rhythm. However, I tell the doctors that in a time of war, you have to try what you can, even if it is not ideal, especially with our limited resources.

As a doctor, do you think we are close to the peak of the virus, or are we still in for a long run?
Unfortunately, there is still a long way to go. Everyone will have to catch it; some people will gain immunity through getting the virus itself and some will be able to take the vaccine which will come out in approximately a year and a half.

How do you see this situation from the perspective of a Lubavitcher Chossid?

It is clear to me that Moshiach is arriving imminently for two reasons:

1) If I would’ve told you a few months ago that right before Moshiach comes, we will all be taken out of our regular lives and put in a completely different situation which is totally out of our comfort zones, it would be hard to believe me. Now, if I tell you that, you will believe me.

2) Very simply, the Gematria of Corona in Lashon Hakodesh is Moshiach Bo
