Passions in Israel

PRESS RELEASE:  "Ateret Cohanim members filed eviction lawsuits against dozens of families in Al-Hawa on the pretext that 100 years ago the land belonged to a Jewish charity that cared for the Yemenite poor of Jerusalem. Their purpose is clear: to take over the charity and demand in its name the evacuation of families who have lived in the compound for decades without question."

Allow me to clarify the above press release from "Peace Now".

"Ateret Kohanim" is an organization whose mandate and passion is  to return Jews  to properties in Yerushalayim  that were once Jewish but illegally occupied by Arabs (due to intimidation and pogroms and war).

"Peace Now" is an organization whose mandate and passion is to prevent Jews from returning to Jewish property in Yerushalayim or in any other part of Eretz Yisroel.

They are mirror images of each other. Does it get any clearer?

Ishmael and Yitzchok were mirror images, so were Eisav and Yakov. Both pairs of brothers were in fact less of a contrast than "Ateret Cohanim" and "Peace Now". Each of those siblings who opposed our forefathers had redeeming qualities as pointed out by our sages. Eisav and Ishmael were not "Jews". They took another track.

They had their own interest and futures to build. They had no reason to champion their brothers who were in competition for their father's attention and for the family future.

"Peace Now" is a "Jewish" "Israeli'’ organization, yet their passion is how to best minimize the Jewish presence in our land and fight very hard for those who would dispossess us (of course with the very generous funding of our fine European friends who surely just want what's best for the Jewish country). This mixture of European Israel bashers (anti Semites), Arab enemies and alienated Jews are the wheels that turn for "Peace Now".

Let me make a prediction. When Jonathan Pollard comes home, G–d willing, there will be "Ateret Cohanim" supporters there to warmly greet him. There will be no "Peace Now" supporters there.

Let me make another observation. When a Jew is killed by an Arab, Ateret Cohanim supporters feel the pain. Really. "Peace Now" is at another place. They have other concerns and far more important "victims" to worry about.

How did they fall so low?

What do you mean 'how did they fall so low?' They never were anything else but 'low' and all they know is to go 'lower and lower'. They are part of the erev rav that has so decimated the Jewish identity of Israel, helping non-Jews to replace Jews, to have compassion on our enemies and to hate with venom our true brothers, the Torah people and those who love Hashem, our people, Israel and, of course, our holy Torah which has kept us alive as G-D's people through the millenia in our galut with the greatest suffering. With the help of Hashem, we will soon see the coming of Moshiach tzdkeinu and our sonim will be gone.
