What began as a legal battle between the Sioux Tribe and the company building the Dakota Access Pipeline has turned into a movement that suggests something bigger is brewing.

Sunday night at Standing Rock in North Dakota, police injured as many as 300 protesters leaving at least one young woman in critical condition, and at least 26 people seeking medical care at nearby hospitals, according to the Standing Rock Medic and Healer Council. The police attack on an estimated 400 people included a barrage of rubber bullets, tear gas, concussion grenades, and pelts of icy water despite the freezing temperatures. At least 16 people were arrested on Monday after continued demonstrations.

For months, the North Dakota Access Pipeline has been protested by the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and members of nearly 100 other tribes from across the United States. Many non-Natice activists have joined as allies, including environmentalist and founder of 350.org Bill McKibben, who is urging the American public to pay attention by reporting through his personal twitter page.

Over 300 cities around the world have joined the resistance in protest and outspoken solidarity. The refrain of the protest is simple: clean water is not a political issue. It’s a right—a global human right.

In 2015, NASA’s satellite data revealed that 21 of the world’s 37 large aquifers are severely water-stressed. The UN estimates one fifth of the world’s population already lives in water-stressed conditions. The New York Times recently reported that the Department of Housing and Urban Development will give grants totaling $1 billion in 13 states to help communities adapt to climate change, by building stronger levees, dams, and drainage systems. From the contaminated drinking water in Flint, Michigan to the escalated urgency of the North Dakota Access Pipeline protests, this reality means problems surrounding clean water access are not likely to fade away quietly.

The outcome of this battle, and the way it gets told, may set the stage for similar environmental and humanitarian disputes yet to come.

North Dakota Oil Pipeline Battle: Who’s Fighting and Why

16 Arrested at North Dakota Pipeline Protest. Native Americans from scores of tribes have been gathering since April outside Cannon Ball — a town in south-central North Dakota, near the South Dakota border — to protest the Dakota Access pipeline. Starting with members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, the protest has since grown to several hundred people (estimates vary), most of them from Native American tribes across the country.



Members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe see the pipeline as a major environmental and cultural threat. They say its route traverses ancestral lands — which are not part of the reservation — where their forebears hunted, fished and were buried. They say historical and cultural reviews of the land where the pipeline will be buried were inadequate. They also worry about catastrophic environmental damage if the pipeline were to break near where it crosses under the Missouri River.

But pipeline spills and ruptures occur regularly. Sometimes the leaks are small, and sometimes they are catastrophic gushers. In 2013, a Tesoro Logistics pipeline in North Dakota broke open and spilled 865,000 gallons of oil onto a farm. In 2010, an Enbridge Energy pipeline dumped more than 843,000 gallons of oil into the Kalamazoo River in Michigan, resulting in a cleanup that lasted years and cost more than a billion dollars, according to Inside Climate News.

“We need our state and federal governments to bring justice and peace to our lands, not the force of armored vehicles,” said Dave Archambault II, the chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe.

“We have repeatedly seen a disproportionate response from law enforcement to water protectors’ nonviolent exercise of their constitutional rights.”

Protons and neutrons are held together in a nucleus of an atom by the “strong force”, that gets its name by being the strongest attractive force - 137 times more powerful than an electromagnetic field and 6,000 billion billion billion billion (6 followed by 39 zeroes) times more powerful than gravity. The strong force only operates at extremely small distances that are on the order of a 1000th millionth millionth of a meter (10 to the power of -15). If you think about a micrometer (100th the size of a human hair), it is a billion times smaller than that. When taken alone, protons and neutrons form rays which can be lethal.

The Force that Binds

Two distinct elements bond together to effectuate the Jewish people, Am Yisrael; but when taken independently, each can produce negative and even dire results. The first is the “spiritual element” when Hashem and a Jew interact through the mitzvot of the Torah. The second is the “nationalist element” when Jews interact with other. The only force which can bind these two elements into one Am Yisrael is total life in Eretz Yisrael, where the active ingredient is pride in being a Jew.

The Unifying Force

While watching president elect Donald Trump during his acceptance speech on election night, I was wondering what he was thinking and feeling. As I studied his face, it was clear that his heart was filled with justifiable pride that over 60 million Americans had chosen him to be their next president. Despite the fact that he lost the popular vote and that many came out on the streets to declare that they would not accept him as their president, Mr. Trump will be the United States’ 45th president.

This honor will last four or possibly eight years. However, when he has to retire to private life, the very fact that so many people chose him to fill the nation’s highest office - albeit temporarily - will have been sufficient to elevate his emotional state to the height of justifiable personal pride. Going into election day, Mr. Trump’s chances to win were far less than the chances of an ice cube to survive in Gehennom, with the odds at 100 to 1 against him. Yet he won, because it was the Will of Hashem after more than seven years of Obama famine.

The only one who can appraise the greatness of the Creator is the Creator Himself. We humble human beings are programmed to think only in terms of words and numbers and do not possess the terminology to express the infinite. Infinity is a concept which defies human understanding. Just as one will become blind by staring at the sun for even a short time, the short cut to insanity is to reflect on the concept that infinity has no beginning nor does it have an end.

We, as Jews, each and every one of us, should be the proudest individuals in the world. It was not 60 million human beings who chose us, but the Creator Himself who declared to Moshe that the Jewish nation would be His “kingdom of Kohanim and a holy nation” for all eternity.

The feeling of pride which will reunite the two elements of Jewish “spirituality” and “nationalism” is now in progress. As the Jews in Eretz Yisrael become ever more proud of what is happening here, they will seek to become more Jewish. And more Jewish means closer to the Torah and traditional Judaism, including the liberation of all of Eretz Yisrael, the Bet HaMikdash and our return to Jewish life before we were sent into exile.

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to spend a day at a F-16 air base. I was in a hanger as the technicians were preparing the plane for take-off. On the side of the fuselage was a big Magen David. I was so moved that I drew close and kissed the symbol.

ARUTZ SHEVA INTERVIEW WITH Yehuda Kaplan, the curator of the Bible Lands Museum, explained to Arutz Sheva the significance of an ancient city which was unearthed in the Elah Valley near Beit Shemesh.

The city is over 3,000 years old, and is one of the oldest known urban centers to use sophisticated Judean architecture. It is surrounded by a massive wall which has two imposing gates.

The excavations, which were conducted from 2007-2013, were led by Prof. Yosef Garfinkel, Yigal Yadin Chair of Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, together with Sa'ar Ganor from the Israel Antiquities Authority, and Prof. Michael Hasel of the Southern Adventist University of Tennessee.

The gates reminded the archaeologists of the description of the Biblical city of Sha'arayim, which means 'Two Gates' in Hebrew and is associated with the battle between David and Goliath.

The city required advanced planning to construct. In addition, the lack of evidence of Philistine settlement in the city, such as pig bones - which Jews are forbidden from eating - and traditional Philistine pottery, leads the archaeologists to believe that the city may be early evidence of a powerful Israelite kingdom from as early as the 10th BCE.

The Bible Land Museum is currently hosting an exhibition on the excavations in the Elah Valley titled "In the Valley of David and Goliath.”

A COMMENT WRITTEN TO THIS VIDEO:  The particular frame that Steve uses as the cover photo for the Secchi H1 footage on his report, "What the Heck is on H1?” reveals that distinct, seemingly deep, perfectly round crater or hole which has been observed in countless other images of Nibiru. In other frames of this event, the crater in question is visible but not as clearly. There also appears to be geographical elements to this planetary body. The Sun has a smooth surface, correct? Does the Sun ever have the appearance of uneven, perhaps rocky terrain as we see in most of these frames? And as for Jupiter being Nibiru? That's just silly. Has BP watched any of the images from the FAA cams in Alaska? Does that planetary body look anything like Jupiter? Does Jupiter have a massive, deep, circular chunk missing from it? And, as on the Alaskan FAA cams, when has Jupiter ever followed such a visible, inexplicable transit, or been of a size in our sky comparable to a Supermoon? I'm quite frankly surprised that BP would be so heavily in denial.

למען האמת קצת קשה לעקוב אחרי מה שקורה בסוגיית פינוי עמונה, ולא ממש פשוט להבין מי נגד מי ואיזה פיתרון טוב ליהודים. אבל עמונה היא ממש לא כל הבעיה היא אולי קצה הקרחון, שהרי ביום-יום בלי בג"ץ ובצלם ממשלת הימין מעדיפה להסתיר את מדיניות כינון המדינה הפלסטינית בחשאי, ומעדיפים בלי תמונות הרס על מרקע הטלוויזיה, אין כל צורך בהרס יישובים ותיקים, כאשר המשך הפריצה והאחיזה בכל מרחבי הארץ

בחמש השנים האחרונות תחת ממשלות נתניהו (ובנט) השונות לא חדלו לרגע אחד הפינויים וההריסות במאחזים הצעירים[1] נגדעו ביד אכזרית כל התחלה וכל ניסיון של נטיעת שורש והרחבת גבולות ההתיישבות, ולמעשה לא נבנה אף יישוב חדש אחד.

במקום זה אנחנו שומעים כל הזמן דיבורים על "שינוי מדיניות" "פיתרון כולל" והחלת ריבונות, דיבורים שהולכים ומתחזקים, בפרט על רקע פינויים מתוכננים (כמו למשל נאום ה"מסירות נפש" של בנט, שנועד כדי לדחות את הביקורת על כך שהוא תמך בהסכם פינוי עמונה לאזור תעשייה של שילה, מאז לבינתיים הוא נכנע ללחצים, ומי יודע מה ילד יום). כל אלו דיבורים נכונים וטובים, בוודאי שנדרשת שינוי מדיניות אמיתית ושכל ה"פתרונות" שהוצעו לגזרת עמונה הם במקרה הכי טוב כמו פלסטר על דימום עמוק.

אבל למעשה דיבורי ה"גבוהה גבוהה " אלו נועדו כדי לטשטש את חוסר העשייה והעשייה השלילית בשטח. כלומר, בוודאי שהם נאמרים מתוך לב שלם, שבאמת חפץ בקשר של עם ישראל על הארץ, אבל במבחן האמונה, מבחן הכניסה לארץ אי אפשר להסתפק בריבונות מלמעלה, 'בכללי', מוכרחים להיכנס לארץ ולהיות מוכנים לעמוד במבחן הפרטים, מבחן שבו יש משמעות וערך מיוחד לכל רגב ורגב בתחומי הארץ הקדושה,

מכלל שהוא צריך לפרט.

באופן לא מקרי, זה קשור גם לסוגיית עמונה האמיתית – האם יש קרקעות פרטיות של גויים בארץ ישראל? לצערנו הרבה תירוצים נאמרו מדוע לא צריך להרוס את עמונה - חלקם מוזרים יותר חלקם מזורים פחות (וחלקם ממש עומדים בניגוד לדעת התורה) אבל עוד לא שמענו אמירה צלולה וברורה שארץ ישראל שייכת לעם ישראל וממילא לא שייכת בעלות לאף נוכרי-גזלן בארץ היהודים.

אפשר לדבר הרבה על זכותנו על הארץ אבל המבחן האמיתי – מבחן הכניסה לארץ הוא מבחן הקרקעות הפרטיות, האם באמת אנחנו מאמינים שארץ ישראל שייכת לעם ישראל בכל פרט ופרט, ולא רק 'בכללי'? האם מדובר רק במושג ערטילאי ו'כללי' שלא עומד במבחן המציאות ובמסגרת החוק (חוק התורה, כמובן...)?

כ50% מקרקעות יהודה ושומרון הם קרקעות המכונות 'פרטיות' (של נוכרים), ללא התיישבות ע"י הפקעה (לכתחילה) של אדמות אלו אין שום אפשרות לשלוט בשטח, בוודאי שלא במשלטים ובנקודות אסטרטגיות – ללא שנכריע במבחן הקרקעות הפרטיות-מבחן הפרטים כדי לאפשר התיישבות חופשית והפסקת ה"גזלה הפרטית" של הערבים אין שום משמעות להחלת ריבונות שאין לה משמעות בשטח מלבד דיבורים "גבוהה גבוהה".

את הדבר הזה ידעו גם אלו שהקימו את היישובים ולא נמנעו מלבנות (כמעט בכל יישוב ויישוב) בכוונה תחילה (בדרך כלל מבני ציבור), גם עמונה נבנתה בהעלמת עין של אנשים רבים ואף גופי ממשלה שלא היו תמימים בנוגע למעמד הקרקעות, אבל האמינו שזה שייך ליהודים גם כשהם לא מעיזים להגיד זאת בפה מלא, במקום זאת נבחרו שיטות וקומבינות מפותלות, שהביאו אותנו למצב שבו אנחנו נמצאים כיום. אבל היום, אחרי ראינו לאן ההתחכמות מובילה – היום זה הזמן להכריע במבחן הפרטים.

את מבחן הפרטים מכריעים דווקא בשטח, דווקא מלמטה. יישוב הארץ לא נבחן בהחלת הריבונות בלבד אלא בעיקר בכיבוש הארץ בפועל ממש, בהורשת גויי הארץ על כל הר וגבעה או כמו שיהושוע אומר "עד אנה אתם מתרפים לרשת את הארץ אשר נתן לכם ה' אלוקי אבותיכם".

בעומק יותר – המאבק על שלמות הארץ עסוק כולו בפרטים, כאשר אנחנו כבר גרים בארץ ישראל, ואפילו מדינה יהודית ריבונית יש לנו (ואפילו יש התיישבות ביו"ש) אז מה כבר מעלה ומוריד עוד כפר ופחות גבעה? שלמות הארץ היא הבנה עד כמה הכלל צריך לכל פרט.

הלאה! בלי חשבון...

וגם למעשה – קצת קשה להחזיק ראש בכל הגלגולים, התעלולים והפוליטיקות סביב פינוי (ח"ו) עמונה ת"ו, וגם לא כל כך כדאי וצודק (ומניסיון גם לא משתלם, בפעם הבאה בלנ" ד לנהל את כל המאבק הכללי על הגב של תושבי עמונה.

אך העיקר הוא לקחת מהמבחן הפרטי הזה תובנות כדי לחדש את העוצמה של התמימות והפשיטות ביישוב הארץ בכל שעל ושעל ללא חשבונות מיותרים, מתוך הבנה שאיך שלא יהיה, בין אם עמונה תפונה (ח"ו) ובין אם לא, בין אם יעבור חוק ההסדרה ובין אם לא, הארץ נותרה עוד הרבה לרשתה.

גם אם נאמין (משום מה) לדברין של בנט שהוא מתכוון למסור את הנפש על החלת הריבונות (על שטחי סי כמובן...) ובין אם נהיה קצת פחות אופטימיים. בין אם יש אמת בסברה שביבי רוצה באמת בהרחבת ההתיישבות ובסך הכל עושה תרגילים לאמריקאים ובים אם הכל קשקוש בלבוש – כל זה לא רלוונטי עבורנו – יראי ה', עבור כל מי שעבורו העיקר היא הברית – הברית עם הארץ, והברית עם נותן הארץ.

בשבילנו, העיקר הוא להמשיך ולפרוץ, להמשיך ולרשת בלי שום חשבון ושהם יסתבכו עם החשבונות...

וקצת יותר למעשה - המאבק האמיתי על עמונה ועל כל יישוב הארץ אם נזכה לכך יוכרע דווקא בפרטים, אם נשקיע את כוחנו בהקמת עוד גבעות מסביב לעמונה עכשיו כשחרב הפינוי על צווארנו (בליווי הסברה אמיתית ומדוייקת), ועמידה על האמת ש"אין כאן אדמות ערביות", ככה יוכרע לבסוף המאבק המתמשך, דברו על זה בפרטיJ

יהודית ב100%.

מבחן הפרטים בא לידי ביטוי עכשיו בשאלת האדמות הפרטיות של היישוב עמונה. אך למעשה זו השאלה הכי חשובה כאשר מדברים על מדינה יהודית.

כולם היום מדברים על זהות יהודית, או על מדינה יהודית ודמוקרטית. אך מי שיקרא את המאמר של איילת שקד (או לחילופין את מחוון המושגים ללימודי אזרחות), יגלה שהזהות היהודית המדברת היא מושג ערטילאי שלא בא לידי ביטוי במבחן הפרטים, כך שאפשר לדבר גבוהה גבוהה על חיזוק הזהות היהודית ובפועל להמשיך לאמץ את התרבות הנוכרית.

מהותו של יהודי היא בכך שהוא קשור לה' בכל פרט ופרט בחייו מקשירת הנעליים בבוקר ועד לעבודתו ועסקיו במהלך היום, לכן גם מבואר בחסידות שהטבע של יהודי הוא למסור את הנפש, מסירות נפש מוגדרת בכך שהיא למעלה מטעם ודעת, מי שמוסר את נפשו לא עושה שיקוליםש ל כדאיות אלא פועל בהחלטיות ברורה וחסרת פשרות.במסירות שכזו נפרצה הדרך להתיישבות ביו"ש, ככה גם נזכה לפרות דרך להחלת ריבונות בכל מרחבי ארצנו, ורק כך תהיה פה מדינה יהודית באמת.

אם אנחנו רוצים מדינה יהודית באמת , ולא רק "יהדוית" באופן כללי ומתבוללת בפרטי צריך למסור את הנפש על כל פרט ופרט, על כל גבעה וגבעה ועל זהותו של כל יהודי ויהודי.

FOR THE END OF HISTORY

As I said last week, it is astounding how relevant Biblical events are today. We can understand our own world only by reference to the words of Torah. The phrase “ma’ase avos siman l’bonim” is a signpost illuminating our pathway. Any other attempts to understand today’s world will lead us into darkness. As Dovid Hamelech says, “You have preserved me from my descent to the pit.” (Tehillim 30)

A subject in this week’s Parsha has disturbed me for years, increasingly so as current history has unfolded. Avraham Avinu is distressed when Sarah demands Yishmael’s expulsion. We can certainly understand her motivation. Yishmael’s presence threatened the spiritual and physical life of their son, Yitzchak. As Chazal say, “Yishmael took bow and arrow and, pretending to be jesting, shot toward Yitzchak [with the intention of killing him and making it appear to be an accident].” (Beraishis Rabbah 53:11)

A father like Avraham is not naïve; furthermore, he was a novi. He must have understood Yishmael’s nature. Chazal tell us that, “in the future, Hakadosh Baruch Hu will make a feast for the righteous. The cup of blessing will be given to Avraham [to lead the bentching], but he will say, ‘I shall not lead the bentching, because Yishmael issued from me.’” (Pesachim 119b)

Avraham must have known exactly what future cruelty and evil would be inflicted on his children by Yishmael’s descendants. Even Bilaam knew! When Bilaam said, “Oy, who can survive when He imposes these!” (Bamidbar 24:23), he was referring to the descendants of Yishmael. (Pirkei deRebbe Eliezer)

Nevertheless, Avraham pleads to Hashem on behalf of Yishmael: “Oh that Yishmael might live before you!” (Beraishis 17:18) This week’s Parsha tells us that “the matter [of expelling Yishmael] greatly distressed Avraham.” (Beraishis 21:11) Only Hashem’s direct intervention caused Avraham to accede to Sarah’s demand. As it says, “Whatever Sarah tells you, heed her voice.”

Yes, Yishmael is Avraham’s son, but Avraham’s unique mission was clearly to be fulfilled only through Yitzchak, as Hashem states to Avraham, “Do not be distressed over [Yishmael] … since through Yitzchak will offspring be considered yours.” (ibid 21:12)

Why would Avraham endanger not only his heir but his mission by pleading with Hashem to give life to Yishmael? How could Avraham have desired that Hashem should bless this cursed child? Did he not want to ensure the welfare of the Nation that would descend from him through Yitzchak? This question gave me no rest.

A possible answer occurred to me, which turns the entire question upside down.

Avraham Avinu must have seen with his novi’s eyes to the end of history. He certainly sought the welfare of Yitzchak’s holy mission and he certainly sought eternal protection for the Nation which would descend from them. I realized that it could be for precisely these reasons that Avraham Avinu pleaded with Hashem to give life to Yishmael!

How could that be?

On September 11, 2001, some 3800 years after the birth of Avraham Avinu, four commercial airliners were hijacked over the United States. The hijackers, descendants of Yishmael ben Avraham, were armed with primitive weapons, in keeping with their nature as “pe’re adam,” part beast, part man. The planes were intentionally flown into landmark buildings, and thousands were killed in an unprecedented act of savagery. Since then, such acts of bestiality on the part of Yishmael have increased in scope and geographical location, disrupting life around the globe.

Our Father Avraham must have seen to the end of history. He saw the Bais Hamikdosh burning. He saw his holy descendants catapulted out of the Holy Land. He saw thousands of years of wanderings, the enforced separation of precious families, oceans of tears. He saw his children beaten and tortured by the children of Esav, from country to country, culminating in the spectacular brutality of the ruler of the Third Reich, may his memory be ground to dust. Avraham Avinu saw what the Children of Esav would do to his children.

Perhaps, at the dawn of our history, Avraham Avinu thought: how can I save my children? And he conceived of a plan. He knew that “lo samchinan anisa … we do not rely on a miracle.” (Pesachim 64b) How, according to the normal way of the world, can this seemingly implacable threat to my children be neutralized? He knew that someday Esav would be defeated. He knew that, one day, “saviors will ascend Har Zion to judge Esav’s mountain and the kingdom will be Hashem’s.” (Ovadiah 1:21) But who can strip away the power of Esav? Certainly, with all its strength, the Children of Israel will not be able to neutralize hundreds of millions of enemies!

Who can do such a thing?

Yishmael!

Perhaps that is what our Father Avraham had in mind! Perhaps that is why he sought a bracha for Yishmael! Perhaps that is why Yishmael needed to live, because only he, the “pere adam,” the half beast, half man who is so primitive as to be almost unstoppable, perhaps only he is capable of putting an end to the threat which emanates from Esav!

Please hear the following words from the Malbim: “In the End of Days, after the Children of Israel have returned to their land, the Children of Ishmael and the Children of Esau will unite to attack Jerusalem. They will form a world coalition against the tiny nation of Israel.”

So the entire world will be against us. Then what will happen?

“But something will go wrong with their plan. The religious beliefs of the children of Ishmael and the children of Esau will clash, and the two nations will collide and destroy each other. This is what is referred to as the War of Gog and Magog. Following this cataclysmic conflict, the Final Redemption of the Jewish People will occur with the coming of Messiah the Son of King David.” (Malbim on Yechezkel Hanovi 32:17)

May Hashem protect us and enable to see this great day!

This wasn’t an election. It was a revolution.

It’s midnight in America. The day before fifty million Americans got up and stood in front of the great iron wheel that had been grinding them down. They stood there even though the media told them it was useless. They took their stand even while all the chattering classes laughed and taunted them.

They were fathers who couldn’t feed their families anymore. They were mothers who couldn’t afford health care. They were workers whose jobs had been sold off to foreign countries. They were sons who didn’t see a future for themselves. They were daughters afraid of being murdered by the “unaccompanied minors” flooding into their towns. They took a deep breath and they stood.

They held up their hands and the great iron wheel stopped.

The Great Blue Wall crumbled. The impossible states fell one by one. Ohio. Wisconsin. Pennsylvania. Iowa. The white working class that had been overlooked and trampled on for so long got to its feet. It rose up against its oppressors and the rest of the nation, from coast to coast, rose up with it.

They fought back against their jobs being shipped overseas while their towns filled with migrants that got everything while they got nothing. They fought back against a system in which they could go to jail for a trifle while the elites could violate the law and still stroll through a presidential election. They fought back against being told that they had to watch what they say. They fought back against being held in contempt because they wanted to work for a living and take care of their families.

They fought and they won.

This wasn’t a vote. It was an uprising. Like the ordinary men chipping away at the Berlin Wall, they tore down an unnatural thing that had towered over them. And as they watched it fall, they marveled at how weak and fragile it had always been. And how much stronger they were than they had ever known.

Who were these people? They were leftovers and flyover country. They didn’t have bachelor degrees and had never set foot in a Starbucks. They were the white working class. They didn’t talk right or think right. They had the wrong ideas, the wrong clothes and the ridiculous idea that they still mattered.

They were wrong about everything. Illegal immigration? Everyone knew it was here to stay. Black Lives Matter? The new civil rights movement. Manufacturing? As dead as the dodo. Banning Muslims? What kind of bigot even thinks that way? Love wins. Marriage loses. The future belongs to the urban metrosexual and his dot com, not the guy who used to have a good job before it went to China or Mexico.

They couldn’t change anything. A thousand politicians and pundits had talked of getting them to adapt to the inevitable future. Instead they got in their pickup trucks and drove out to vote.

And they changed everything.

Barack Hussein Obama boasted that he had changed America. A billion regulations, a million immigrants, a hundred thousand lies and it was no longer your America. It was his.

He was JFK and FDR rolled into one. He told us that his version of history was right and inevitable.

And they voted and left him in the dust. They walked past him and they didn’t listen. He had come to campaign to where they still cling to their guns and their bibles. He came to plead for his legacy.

And America said, “No.”

Fifty millions Americans repudiated him. They repudiated the Obamas and the Clintons. They ignored the celebrities. They paid no attention to the media. They voted because they believed in the impossible. And their dedication made the impossible happen.

Americans were told that walls couldn’t be built and factories couldn’t be opened. That treaties couldn’t be unsigned and wars couldn’t be won. It was impossible to ban Muslim terrorists from coming to America or to deport the illegal aliens turning towns and cities into gangland territories.

It was all impossible. And fifty million Americans did the impossible. They turned the world upside down.

It’s midnight in America. CNN is weeping. MSNBC is wailing. ABC calls it a tantrum. NBC damns it. It wasn’t supposed to happen. The same machine that crushed the American people for two straight terms, the mass of government, corporations and non-profits that ran the country, was set to win.

Instead the people stood in front of the machine. They blocked it with their bodies. They went to vote even though the polls told them it was useless. They mailed in their absentee ballots even while Hillary Clinton was planning her fireworks victory celebration. They looked at the empty factories and barren farms. They drove through the early cold. They waited in line. They came home to their children to tell them that they had done their best for their future. They bet on America. And they won.

They won improbably. And they won amazingly.

They were tired of ObamaCare. They were tired of unemployment. They were tired of being lied to. They were tired of watching their sons come back in coffins to protect some Muslim country. They were tired of being called racists and homophobes. They were tired of seeing their America disappear.

And they stood up and fought back. This was their last hope. Their last chance to be heard.

Watch fifty million Americans take back their country.

The media had the election wrong all along. This wasn’t about personalities. It was about the impersonal. It was about fifty million people whose names no one except a server will ever know fighting back. It was about the homeless woman guarding Trump’s star. It was about the lost Democrats searching for someone to represent them in Ohio and Pennsylvania. It was about the union men who nodded along when the organizers told them how to vote, but who refused to sell out their futures.

No one will ever interview all those men and women. We will never see all their faces. But they are us and we are them. They came to the aid of a nation in peril. They did what real Americans have always done. They did the impossible.

America is a nation of impossibilities. We exist because our forefathers did not take no for an answer. Not from kings or tyrants. Not from the elites who told them that it couldn’t be done.

The day when we stop being able to pull of the impossible is the day that America will cease to exist.

Today is not that day. Today fifty million Americans did the impossible.

Midnight has passed. A new day has come. And everything is about to change.
