The winter system that peaked yesterday (Tuesday) will continue today but at a significantly lower intensity. The system brought very large amounts of rain, mainly in Jerusalem and the southern coastal plain. The system caused widespread flooding. Emergency services are still searching for a 15-year-old boy who was swept away in a flash flood in Nahal Modiin near Modi'in Illit.
As of this morning, 116.7 mm of rain were measured at the Erezim measuring station in the capital, making it the location with the greatest rainfall. The Jerusalem hills is in second place with 107.5 mm.
The Golan Heights recorded 64.9, Tzfat 44 mm, in Tverya 32.5 mm, in Nahariya 32.7 mm, in Hadera 38.1 mm, in Ariel 71.4 mm, in Karnei Shomron 50.6 mm, in Rehovot 47 mm, in Ashdod 36.1 mm and in Ashkelon 11.6 mm.
Today will continue to be rainy mainly in the central region and the northern Negev. Temperatures will rise slightly. In the coming days, light local rain is expected mainly in the southern coastal plain.
