Why is seeing a girl, or woman, such a temptation to Jewish men, especially Rabbis?? Is that all they have in their minds temptation when seeing a feminine person?
Jewish Rabbis talk too much of this, and this kind of talk, causes growing boys, young and old men, to see the opposite sex as danger to them. Gee whiz!!
In Judaism its called "Yichud" i.e., being alone in a closed area with a female who is not your wife, mother, sister. The first mitzvah in the Torah is "Be fruitful and multiply" "Pru U'Revu" (פְּרוּ וּרְבוּ) and Hashem gave men the 'aggressive'' ability/responsibility to claim a wife. In the earlier days, a Jewish man could choose (or take) a woman and then give her a 'trinket' to seal the union. [Like Rabbi Akiva] The male w/o this Torah blessing once 'grabbed' a female and took her to his home and clinched the deal. Or like what happened in Shechem (with Dina). In fact, the non Jews don't have the commandment of "Marriage". But its moral and praiseworthy to do so for the protection of the gentler female and children. SO, there exists, from this G-d given mitzva, an "attraction" within the male to pursue a wife (female). Its quite strong in some men while others can control. However a young man (from 13) into his Yeshiva years, will have this strong attraction to the female. But this is exactly the age suitable for most marriages and raising children (the next generation in the link of Torah. I hope i've clarified this for you. Any further questions you can ask.
Thanks for explaining, but to me it still does not make sense.
Today's world including Israel, especially some cities there, you see young girls with pants, sometimes loose, sometimes tight ones, walking, and yes many of the girls are Jewish. One does not see, men, young or old ogling them. Some might, be 'ogling', not making it too obvious, and then again, this is going on almost all over the world. Just saying. Appauled- woman, Just me.
