Traffic and Road Travel Disruptions and Changes for Monday

 Roadblocks


According to an update from the Israel Police:

Highway 1 in both directions – east and west – will remain closed until the end of the visit.
The road will not open after the convoy passes but only when the event ends, around 1:00 PM.

Roads crossing Highway 1 (Lod / Ben Shemen / Anaba / Latrun interchanges)
will remain open to through traffic, except for a short time around the convoy's passage.

Within Jerusalem – the road between the entrance to the city and the Knesset
(Weizmann, Herzl, Rabin, Kaplan Streets), as well as all roads crossing or connecting to it,
will be closed continuously, including the Shazar Road (Binyanei Ha'uma).

🚆 Train and public transportation

The Jerusalem light rail will operate as usual,
except for a short time when the convoy enters and exits.
Kiryat Moshe station will be closed continuously.

Israel Railways will operate an enhanced service between Tel Aviv – Ben Gurion Airport – Jerusalem,
with two trains per hour in each direction between 06:00–14:00,
and the last train at 15:07.

Passengers on the Jerusalem–Bnei Brak route are advised to use the train.
Line 53 (Bnei Brak ↔ Savidor) will be enhanced in both directions.

Public transportation lines that pass through Highway 1 during the blockages
will be temporarily diverted to Highway 443.

🛣️ Intercity route diversions

From the north and center (via Highway 6): Continue traveling via Highway 443.

From the center (via Highway 1): Divert to 431 → Anaba Interchange → Modi’in → 443,
or alternatively via Maccabith Road → Nachshonim Interchange → Highway 6 → 443.

From the south and the lowlands: Travel via Highway 3 → Latrun → Modiin → 443.

Eastern Negev (Arad / Yeruham / Dimona):

Departures to Jerusalem until 09:00,

From Jerusalem until 13:00,

Travel via Highway 90 (Dead Sea),

and then – return to the regular route.

Within Jerusalem (general intercity route):

To and from the Central Station via Jeremiah → Shefa Haim → Golda → 443.

No entry or exit from the Central Station towards Gesher Mitarim and the entrance to the city will be allowed.

🏞️ South, Beit Shemesh and Ashdod

South and Beit Shemesh: via Highway 3866 or 375 (Tzur Hadassah / Beitar).

Ashdod: via Latrun, get off at Shefa Haim at the first stop,
and pick up at Har Hotzvim.

We reiterate and emphasize: It is recommended for everyone who can – to advance their trip to the day before.
Despite the preparations Full, heavy traffic is expected on Route 443,
which is unable to provide a full response to the closure of Highway 1.
Any changes in times or routes will be updated in real time.
