“These righteous benefactors donated in unprecedented amounts. But they didn’t stop there; they continue working tirelessly to recruit more and more generous Jews from all corners of the globe to join in supporting this historic Torah effort. Many, many people of means followed their lead here in America and in other countries, and chavercha chaverah is lei (each person has a friend who follows), and with Divine assistance, they helped fill the gaps for the yeshivas and kollels.”
“And I feel an obligation to express the deep impression left by the incredible virtue of American Jews, in the warm and genuine way they receive our mission on behalf of all Torah learners in Eretz Yisrael. Ashrei ha’am shekacha lo, fortunate is the nation that acts this way.”
“The Torah world in Eretz Yisrael is still in a difficult situation, and is lacking very large sums to cover what’s needed for this year. Therefore, we have come here as emissaries of the Torah learners of Eretz Yisrael to awaken even those already inspired, to cry out on behalf of the Torah world in Eretz Yisrael: Please! Take part in saving the Torah world! Please! Awaken, be inspired, and donate to the World Of Torah Fund, each person according to their means and beyond their means. The awakening and great effort to save the Torah of Eretz Yisrael will influence the entire spiritual future of your children. It will always be before their eyes, your wholehearted and passionate mobilization on behalf of Torah and Torah learners, and their hearts will be engraved with the immense value you place on the great gift G-d gave us: the holy Torah.
“And on this occasion, as thousands of Jews gather together in honor of Torah and its learners, everyone must strengthen themselves in Torah study, each person according to his level, to set fixed times to learn Torah every single day, and to raise their children to value Torah study. ‘Torah study is equal to them all’. There is no greater happiness than Torah learning and a life of Torah.
“May it be the will of our Father in Heaven that you and your families be blessed with all good things and great success, with health and peace for long and good days. May you merit to raise your children for lives of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits.
