Virology is a scam.
So is cosmology, climatology, paleontology, and a whole bunch of other -ologies*.
* “Ology” used to mean “a subject of study; a branch of knowledge.” These days it usually means “a subject of subterfuge; a branch of deception, misinformation, and indoctrination.”
Dictionary.com:
ology
noun
, Informal or Facetious.
, Plural ol·o·gies
any science or branch of knowledge
In my precious post, I only cited a few -ology scams. There are many, many more. Here are a few examples:
Bacteriology — astute reader Dr. Handler points out that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) caused by antibiotics will soon surpass cancer as the world's leading cause of death [1]. And once we're on that morbid scam-ology, we should add:
Oncology — a scam of epic proportions, oncology will never eradicate cancer. It perpetuates it.
Psychology and psychiatry — “We don't have an epidemic of mental illness. We have an epidemic of psychiatry.” — Dr. Thomas Szasz, professor of psychiatry [2]
Epidemiology — it's been replaced by scamdemicology.
Epistemology — most people are no longer capable of discerning theory [3] from fact. Critical thinking no longer exists. The public's perception of reality is based on factors that are neither empirical nor rational.
Theology — sadly, organized religion has been subverted [4], and so have most ideologies.
May G-d save us from all rogue ologies.
