MORE FROM SHALOM POLLACK

 Tuesday, December 31

We are invited into the home of the legendary Ezra Yakin, Israel's oldest warrior.

This 98-year-old firebrand decided upon the path of defender of his people as a teen in Jerusalem when he joined the "Lechi" underground to fight the British occupation.
Taking part in all of Israel's wars, his passion has not diminished until today as he is the oldest member of the IDF. including the current war.

We will have the honor of meeting this giant and hearing his message for the Jewish people and Jewish history.

After our visit, we will continue to the old city where we will visit the "Plugot  Hakotel Museum" in the Jewish Quarter.
This new museum tells the story of the "Betar youth". who dedicated their lives to protecting Jewish life and honor in old Jerusalem during the British occupation.  Typically, bowing to Arab demands, the British forbade blowing the shofar at the end of Yom Kippur prayers.
Annually, all eyes were set on the Western Wall to see if this year the might of Great Britain would prevail against the determined young defenders of Jewish honor.
Guess who won?

The story of these selfless young Jewish idealists is told in a new, dramatic multimedia presentation

We shall meet our bus at the Inbal Hotel at 9:00 and return from the old city using public transport at 3:00.

Lunch will be at your favorite eatery in the Jewish quarter
Cost 200 shekels

Tuesday, January 14

We shall begin our day with a visit to the indomitable heroes on "the hilltops" who are standing between a "Palestinian state" and Eretz Yisrael.

They attract the ire of the US government, the international community, and their Leftist allies in Israel.
They are exposed to extreme weather  Arab attacks, politically directed police brutality, and biting financial sanctions.
Yet they stand strong
We shall stand with them.

We continue to the Bet Shean Valley where we shall enjoy the unique "Bio-Bee" experience in the religious kibbutz," Sede Eliyahu".
This small community is the home to world-famous original farming ideas and methods that lead the world in the "Helpful insects" industry, eliminating the need for chemical pesticides.
They have identified "good" insects that feed on pests that are the bane of farmers worldwide.
Bio Bee reproduces these helpful insects and packages them for export, a blessing for the entire world.

We will have a picnic lunch.
Bring sandwiches which we can eat at the tables of their dairy cafe where we can order hot drinks and light dishes.
You are invited to shop at kibbutz nature culinary shop.

We will depart from the Inbal Hotel at 8:30 and return before 6:00 IH.
Cost; 250 shekels
