A day with "Regavim" in the Negev
Wednesday, December 18
Today we shall have the opportunity of being hosted by "Regavim."
Regavim is an NGO whose mandate is to guard national lands from Arab encroachment.
They are the source of information and lobby the government to present and encourage courses of action.
Today, we will be privileged to have an unusual insight into the situation in the Negev region, where the usurpation of national lands by Bedouin is the focus of "Regavim's" efforts.
We will visit beautiful landscapes including the lush Yatir forest, Israel's largest.
There, we will visit the site of a Jewish settlement, part of the effort to bring Jews to threatened parts of our land
In addition, we will visit "Tel Beer Sheva", the site of the ancient city of our forefathers.
We will have lunch at a recommended local kosher eatery. You may bring your lunch if you wish.
Departure from the Inbal Hotel at 8:30 and return between 5 and 6.
Cost - 250 shekels
Tuesday, December 31
At age 98 Ezra Yachin is the last living "Lechi" underground fighter and the oldest active IDF reservist in the current war.
He has graciously invited us to his unique home where he will share his experiences and thoughts about a life dedicated to his beloved people of Israel.
We will continue to the Old City and visit the new and inspiring presentation of the "Plugat Hakotel" - the "Kotel Brigade". The young people of the Betar youth organization defied the British and defended Jews from Arabs in Old Jerusalem during the Mandate period.
I will point out interesting sites in the area and we will have lunch in an eatery of your choice in the Jewish quarter
We will depart from the Inbal Hotel at 8:30 and return around 5:30
Cost 200 shekels
