Over 1000 bodies of 10/7 terrorists to be examined in attempt to identify missing Jews
Dental and DNA samples will be taken from each terrorist's body to ensure that there are no Jews among them.
At an IDF camp in southern Israel, an expansive operation will be launched this week to identify bodies of terrorists, Kan Reshet Bet reported on Monday. The upward of 1,000 bodies are those of terrorists and other infiltrators who participated in the Hamas massacre on October 7th.
According to the report, during the operation, which will be conducted by members of the IDF Rabbinate and the Institute of Forensic Medicine, dental and DNA samples will be taken from each body to ensure that there are no Jewish bodies among them.
The IDF estimates that the examination will take at least two weeks. Its purpose is to ensure that no mistakes were made during the first weeks of the war when the bodies of terrorists were collected from the Gaza envelope communities and were concentrated at the military camp without being examined.
At the time of publication, there is no sign that there are Jewish bodies among the terrorists.
An additional purpose for the operation is to get a full picture of the situation of the hostages and missing persons, being that there are currently still several individuals whose whereabouts have been unknown since October 7th.
