🚨ALERT: The Temple Mount Just CHANGED on SUKKOT! and a priestly blessing on the Temple Mt Area

 

Something extraordinary happened this morning on the Temple Mount. Before dawn, I picked up Rabbi Lawrence Hajioff, and together we made our way to Jerusalem for our first ascent to Har HaBayit, accompanied by Rabbi Josh Wander and Rabbi Yehuda Levy.

Hundreds of Jews were on the Temple Mount as we walked the entire area, prayed Musaf, recited Birkat Kohanim, and experienced moments that were deeply moving. The Musaf prayers themselves look toward the restoration of the Temple service, making this an especially powerful moment on Har HaBayit. For me, this was unlike anything I had ever experienced before.

After leaving the Temple Mount, we returned to my family’s sukkah in the Old City and sat down together to process what had just happened, what it means for the Jewish people, and why the Temple Mount and the rebuilding of the Third Temple are becoming such central conversations in our generation.
