Do not understand why take this issue to Yerushalayim, of all places, at this time. We have our own house to clean first. The idea of the Noahide movement is very good, but can be done in individual countries around the world; so those in charge can make all the arrangements in their own countries.
In the meantime, the tuma is so great in the public arena in EY and to have all types of different people converging upon the holy city to push the Noahide agenda at this time does not make sense.
This is surely being pushed by people with agendas and leave it to all kinds of rabbis and others to join in.
Why is it that all the problems start from within; the reform mvmt of 200 or so years ago decided to water down the Torah to almost, c'v, nothing and from there we have the Tikkun Olam craziness where Jews are worried for the whole world, except for the Jewish people. Tikkun Olam is when we Jews know it means TORAH and has little to do with world affairs. First, we must
spread Torah to our children. When Moshiach comes, he will lead the world to the knowledge of Hashem.
Turning and twisting the Torah to fit today';s majority secular Jewish world is
exactly the opposite of what we were taught at Sinai!
Well, that was a mouthful from the heart. Thank you. However i must comment on your “ the tuma is so great in the public arena in EY”. We are a stiff-necked Nation, in perseverence in our devotion to HKB”H thru these thousands of years of persecution. Give us credit for this.
And we are compared to a Rimon, with its hundreds of sweet and tart (at the same time) seeds, that even the most ………Jew does some mitzvos.
The Nes of Rain in Elul, uncharacteristically evident, was a ‘word’ from Shamayim thst we His Children still are loved, even in our wayward situation. Many many have begun to realize that we do have a Father in Shamayim, and He is watching us, waiting to give us our redemption.
I live close to the highway called Rehov Ramban, thst on Shabbat usually has cars traveling all day, night long. Ive begun to notice so much more quiet comingfrom that stretch of road on SHABBOS. Its heartwarming to NOT see and hear that traffic. To its a good sign. Just like that rain on Shabbos.
On the other hand, it might be a good idea for this meeting because these Noahides can be the way to go up against all the missionaries which seem to be more prevalent today than before. Maybe the missionries themselves will realize their mistake and join the Noahides. That would be something!
Hashem works in mysterious ways.
