And Hamas sure seems to have incredible luck...

In part 10 of the prophetic teachings of Rav Elchonon Wasserman we learned about the rationalization the Religious Zionists made to partner with the wicked, in contravention of the Torah’s prohibition, and how the Torah’s eternal wisdom was proven correct. As illustrated with a powerful parable from Rav Yisrael Salanter, whatever benefits they believe they achieved, they lost 100 times more.

After nearly a century more of long-term consequences, the warnings of the sages of yesterday ring more true than ever.

Rav Wasserman also emphasized the centrality of Eretz Yisrael to the Jewish people — ironically far more than the Zionists themselves have proven to believe — but demonstrated that even Eretz Yisrael is not as essential to the Jewish people as Torah itself.

The Dati Leumi have made a new religion out of Eretz Yisrael, dare I say an avoda zara out of settling the land, as opposed to having a truly balanced, Torah-grounded approach. The only possible outcome for their approach is frustration and failure.

Hamas mercenaries sure have incredible luck guessing which tanks will have open/malfunctioning hatches, and when they will be able to approach this mobile death trap, climb up, just toss an explosive device down the open/malfunctioning hatch, and kill everyone inside, without anyone inside or around the tank noticing them and shooting them, and then run away to safety.

It's almost as if someone is tipping them off and collaborating with them on targeted assassinations. That's how good their luck is.

Keep doubling down on more of the same and expect different results. It’s working out great.

Surely it would have been even worse if we didn’t take all those shots.

And surely it would have been even worse if we didn’t send all those brainwashed young people into death traps under the command of “intelligence failures”, kofrim, and monsters, under the delusion that anything about this is a milchemes mitzvah, or otherwise virtuous and necessary.

I used to have trouble understanding how people could be so insufferably stupid and blind to serve idolatry, so intractable, no matter how much they were warned by real prophets, and no matter how much they were ground to the dust by their own foolishness.

I have no trouble understanding it now.

The IDF will investigate the incident, learn lessons, and take the appropriate measures, blah blah blah.
