The *Rosh Yeshiva*, HaGaon Rav D. Landau *shlita*, launches an attack on Finance Minister Smotrich during a gathering of Rechasim-area rabbis at his home: "People who call themselves 'observers of *mitzvot*' come forward and publicly claim—heaven forbid—that there is no justification for being *Haredi* in the Land of Israel. This constitutes a deliberate, public *Chillul Hashem* (desecration of God’s name). There is no need to engage him in debate; however, we have an obligation to act against this terrible *Chillul Hashem*. When we vote for 'Gimel,' we are declaring in a loud voice: 'We have nothing left but this Torah!'"
